He's our replacement for Hollis. He and Otto would give us two great wings.

The game I saw was the one where he went 6 and 3. Glad to see he had some better outings during the tournament. Player who most impressed me on Boo Williams was Josh Fortune. Dynamite shooter!

ESPN evaluation from Dallas:
"Troy Williams (Hampton, Va./Phoebus) 2013, SF, 6-5 | Team: Boo Williams College: Undecided This was his weekend to take a larger role on the team, and he did just that. A cerebral, classic small forward, Williams knocked down jumpers, was a willing rebounder, slipped into the lane with ease and had a natural feel for the game."

Which one of those kids do we have a legit shot at? I know we have an advantage with Williams but what about the local kid in Britt?

scout update
“Mostly I have been hearing from Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Alabama, DePaul, Texas, Virginia, and South Florida,” Williams listed.
“I have offers from Georgetown, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas, and South Alabama.”
“When I make my decision next year between my junior and senior year, I know I will have a big decision to make.”

One thing for sure is that we'll be in his top 3. We know he likes the staff and the program, whether he chooses us will largely depend on who else commits to the Hoyas. If Kyle commits, I really like our chances with Troy.

recruitingspotlight.wordpress.com/2011/10/03/junior-stars-walker-williams-discuss-midnight-madness-future-past-visits/"With Georgetown, they’ve just been talking about Midnight Madness because that’s where I’m going for Midnight Madness. I’m going to Georgetown’s [Midnight Madness] because my aunt coaches there. I wanted to go last year but they said it would spoil it for this year. I’ll be there in the daytime to visit the school and walk around the campus all day.” "With all these past and upcoming visits, it’s important Williams knows exactly what he’s looking for in a school. “If guys don’t make it into the NBA what do they do after college?” he asks. “What type of job do they have, how do colleges treat their players, do they have a good relationship between the coaches and players and academics are also important.” A couple of schools in particular fit this mold in Williams’ mind. “Georgetown is one, after college if they don’t make it into the league they get good jobs. They help with the team by working them out and coaching. Also, UNC [is another], I don’t know much about Louisville and Kentucky [though].”
