I agree with the basic sentiment of the last two posts, but can they be worded to avoid saying "I'll trust Calipari"?

This kid has a lot of holes in his game. Great athlete but i am not sure he is skilled enough to play right away at UK or UNC. I think that the princeton offense would hide some of his weaknesses and at the same time allow him to develop. I was thoroughly unimpressed with his performance against coolidge but I will defer to the opinions of the high major coaches that are recruiting him.
Gtown is the best place for this kid.

I'd take him if he wanted to come-don't think he's even remotely interested--this is a courtesy list due to Boo Williams being a friend of program. Thing about UK/UNC-they can take a guy like that and if he doesn't develop--no problem, they will have 2-3 other kids on their roster to play and recruit over him. Can we say at this point Hoyas are free to do so?
If it's between Williams/Domingo--I'd take Domingo if I'm Georgetown and continue to play like they do. If they change their style of play and want to focus on athleticism and speed--well need to get a point guard who can push and allow the wings to finish and get better looks---a true PG too. Not a combo. DSR isn't a PG at all. He's a 2G. Markel plays offensively like a 2G. So, based on that being who will make up the backcourt as of now--you better get shooters/skilled wings because an athletic SF who needs to work on ball handling, shooting, and passing is going to be a 3 year project--and only help on defensive end--which is great--but that equates to being a role player and if the kid has 2 options like UNC/UK--why do this?
Now--if you want to bring in Anthony Barber with Troy Williams--, then it makes sense. Barber isn't a Hoya type of guard--but he's a blur with ball and would be fasted guard since Iverson. Rysheed Jordan, etc.....otherwise better target the Williams Goss, Domingo types.

Which is why he'll go to UK or UNC, so he can run all day and finish on the break. Not overly structured offense at both places.

RDF, I'm with you on your Domingo take. Kid just fits into what we are doing.

I didn't care to take the time to write all of that out, but that's pretty much what I meant by UK can have him. He should by no means be our top priority in that class. If he wants to come, so be it. Now everyone can stop throwing a fit that I said "UK can have him".

I cosigned PofD. It's not that Troy had a bad game. I want kids that want GTown. Today Troy wants to be a Tarheel. If Troy comes on his visit and falls in love with the Hilltop, then I will change my mind. But Troy has been on the Hilltop plenty of times, so I doubt that is gonna happen.........

I do understand all HS kids have to keep working to improve their play but this sounds like he just finishes well at the basket and can become a top defender.. I have never seen him play live. If so why is he so highly rated not just by the ranking services but by folks on the board?

if it is an accurate description he sounds like a hybrid of the team that is currently ranked 9th in the country. If the kid can play defense at this level and get to the basket i'd take him in a minute. Is this kid mentally tough like a jabril i don't know. What i don't want is just a kid that can shoot jump shots. To me Hollis has been a 3 year project that i'm still waiting on. If Domingo = Hollis then he's sitting for a least a year. I also don't buy that he has firm commitment ready offers from Kentucky or Carolina. The Kid knows Georgetown and has spent a lot of time here the last 2 summers and ive always thought that most of Boos kids with some notable exceptions put in the work to get better.

Hollis is a 3 year project that you are still waiting on? I mean I know he still has flaws but man you have incredibly high standards.

Seriously. Hollis isn't a project. He's our second leading scorer and probably our best overall player!
Honestly, Hollis was never really a project. He has been a useful, high efficiency player from the get go. When I think project I think guy you can't have on the floor until he puts it together. You may have wanted Hollis to do more but he has always been good about limiting his mistakes and playing within the flow of the team.

After six months in the system Hollis came out and did very little his first season. very much deer in the headlights. he came on late a little last year. I don't evaluate based upon his scoring which even this year is not consistent. His passing ability is about the same. still can't feed thepost, his rebounding has improved he was high effeciency his first year don't know what the stats are now i would guess a little lower but he dissapears for long periods of time on the offensive end. After 4 plus years he still doesn't have the handle to breakdown a 4 let alone a 3 and he is what a 2?
Project may be and probably is too strong but the kid just leaves me waiting and wanting more. I thought that we would see a much more complete player by this time in his career.

Year - Offensive Rating/Shot% Fr - 111/14% So - 123/19% Jr - 124/24% Plus he's turned into a pretty darn good rebounder from the 3 (and did well from the 4. He plays pretty good D -- for all the talk of Whittington blanketing Kuric, for example, Hollis had him for a big part of the half there as well.

Even if you counted Hollis' first six months, which I think sleepy was trying to do, it's still only 3+ years. Where the + is like two weeks at this point.

Isn't Troy supposed to be on campus today? Yep--and he'll be at the game tonight--but nobody thinks there is a chance in hell he ends up at Georgetown, so not too much buzz for him and Hoya fans have lives--and don't tweet him all hours of the day to "woo" him--which sadly--he seems into.
