If White wanted to visit GU, it wouldn't be that difficult to hop in a car and drive up to see it.

I mean the only negative is he hasn't visited campus. So I find it hard to believe he wold choose a school without visiting it. But then again, we have come on strong as of late in his recruitment to get to the top of his list. Somethings gotta give That seems like a kinda big negative

Yea, he can get in a car and go visit GU, but if he really is deciding this week, we aren't going to get a visit.

The Spiders are close and have been on him the longest. Kansas just signed an SG, so that would seem to effect White's decision. Seem...

Thought this kid was all but delivered to Kansas? I stopped following him after the chatter on signing day that he was going to the Jayhawks. This seems weird.

Go back and read Telep's update on Andrew White from last year--where White was very clear that he'd commit if Georgetown offered and that was his "dream school". Now we know that "dream scenarios" can change--but this wasn't a kid saying this was favorite team growing up and he's changed his mind--this was a recruitable player saying "I will go there if offered". Georgetown wasn't even considered--and they offer and are in top 2 and word is being "near home" matters.
Just wish recruiting decisions were logical because logic points to him being in Blue and Grey. Not going to hate on Kansas--I respect Self and Jayhawk program, but I won't be stunned to see him end up a Hoya.

FWIW--
@isportswebchris Chris Resor Andrew White tells me that while there are no leaders, KU and Georgetown are right near the top. Expect a decision in the next few days

Interesting how the last couple recruiting wars have come down to Kansas and Georgetown. While speaking to a huge Kansas fan in Maui last week about White, she explained that one thing that hurts Kansas with recruiting is that Self has a tendency to give a lot of playing time to guys who stick around for 3 or 4 years...ie, morningstar, teagan, etc. With that, it can be challenging for underclassmen to get significant minutes.
At Georgetown, it's quite possible both White and DSR would get starter minutes much like Otto is getting now. Bottom line, the incomining freshman class would play a big role next year and I hope that White is part of it.

I'm not a fan of Kansas, but I thought between injuries, departures and freshmen suspensions/eligibility, they had a very short bench and needed to use the available bodies. Selby is an example of a freshman playing as a starter in Kansas. If you're that good, you play immediately, no matter if it's Kansas or any other team that gets the top 5 talent. Andrew White does not fit into that category. At Kansas or GU, next year he'll be watching from the bench. Unless DSR and White adjust to the college bball as well as Otto, there's no way they get Otto-type minutes next year.

Eh, I could absolutely see DSR getting Otto type minutes next year. We're losing Jason, and if we lose Hollis as well, we're going to need some scoring power. DSR can flat out fill it up. I actually expect a big impact from him. I would agree with you on White though.

Perhaps not Otto minutes...but Whittington Or trawick minutes would certainly be a possibility. My point is, jt3 is relying heavily on his freshman this year, and I see the same being true next year.

I could see DSR and White in the backcourt together at times next year. Since White can stroke it and defends, reportedly, that's possible.

unless he found time to visit G'Town at some point, would have to think KU.
