you take white and pollard. the scholly situation will work itself out.
we may actually be losing more this year that we lost last year. suddenly, sims becomes a big loss....easily a bigger loss than Vaughn was. The way Hollis and Clark are playing...they are just as important to the team and Freeman and Wroght. Granted this freshman class is awesome, but we need to keep reloading in 2012 and need to add one more stud, and preferably two.

One more thing... yes, we have a lot of wings.. and Hollis, Otto and Greg are getting the most minutes. NExt year, Hollis leaves. A replacement (6'6 or better) would be welcome. we already have 5 Star 6'2 G DSR coming in.
As B&G said, if we are somehow able to get TWO more top 50 or so kids... take them!

None of us knows right now exactly how many schollies will be available next year, but I think we need a true center before we sign another wing. I know, I know...you sign Pollard (maybe White) no matter what. But if Bolden, Smith-Rivera, and a SF is our 2012 class, we could be pretty thin up front the next season, unless Moses, Hopkins, and Adams get a lot better and stay healthy.

No quality centers left to be had in 2012 ranch.

Yes, understood. But if you sign three non-centers from 2012, then you only have one scholarship available for 2013 and our presumed top target is another wing in Troy Williams.
I am absolutely in love with the idea of recruiting athletic, versatile wing players, but you need competent beef to anchor the post or you get crushed by guys like Thomas Robinson, Alex Oriahki, or Dejaun Blair, or John Pinone.
I want to see how many old-timers vomit on their screen with the mention of Pinone.
All-time hated foe? That might deserve it's own thread. I will indulge myself and start it.

Adams, Moses, a beefed up Hopkins and Bolden could all see time at the five. At this point, Moses and Adams seem most likely.

If Hoyas went after all these other wings and failed, why would they not go after White, who can play the 2/3 and Pollard at the 3?

They may not be as good passers as Roy, Greg, and now Sims is becoming. But Setting screens, grabing rebounds, and clogging the lane are all about effort, which is something everyone can give.

You take White if you can get him and you recruit Nerlens Noel as a '12 recruit. He's going to re-classify and pull an Andre Drummond. He'll say all the right things--but come next August, you want to be in position to take him and not be caught off guard.
White is a 2G/SF--but more of a true 2G.

exactly RDF. Treat him as if he's coming this year.

Agree with RDF and ID - oh, and start talking to the team to see who might want to trade their basketball schollie for an academic/need one!

What's the point of the late reclassify? It's not that I'm questioning your prediction, I just don't follow recruiting enough to understand why someone (Drummond, Noel, whoever) would do that. Is it to avoid a lot of the recruiting lunacy?

In a case of a Noel or Drummond type of talent...to get to the NBA sooner.

Speaking of which, any word on whether the new agreement will allow players to enter the draft:
A) straight out of high school B) after one year C) after two years

Most NBA writers seem to think it's going to remain 1 and done for the time being.

Update today on ESPN say's his coach thinks he will decide sometime this week. Most likely later in the week. It seems to think it's between kansas and gtwn with WVU, NV+CST, and Texas also considered.

I mean the only negative is he hasn't visited campus. So I find it hard to believe he wold choose a school without visiting it. But then again, we have come on strong as of late in his recruitment to get to the top of his list. Somethings gotta give
