Ochefu is not 100% just yet, just said he's "pretty sure" he'll be there.
Don't believe Kuran is going anywhere.

What is a verbal signature? It's kind of like Mark Tillmon's "birthmark"--aka his grey hair.

"Thats a good '12 attendee."
This could be understatement of the year. Kyle is a Top 5 player from a loaded class and is 6'8" with point guard skills.
This is a GREAT development. I believe midnight madnesses take place on the same night for all colleges and he is choosing the Hoyas MM over everyone else - and he's not even a local kid (St. Anthony's in NJ), which means he'll quite literally be driving past St. John's, Seton Hall, Rutgers, and Villanova on the way to McDonough. In my mind, this is a great development.

MM taks place at most places on the same date. some schools hold it later. For instance Nova always holds theirs a week later than the official start of practice.

I didn't want to highjack the James Robinson thread , so I answered you here Bro I ..
I'm trying to find out now where Youngin will be attending MM at - hopefully it's the Hilltop .. but here's a lil Info on him...
Actually , I went to a couple games to watch them play and being that I wasn't aware he was on the radar and he didn't start.. all my focus was on Mike Gil and Kyrie Irving(the TRUTH). This year , I'll be watching him as much as possible. I guess it would be hard to stick out with the talent ahead of him , but after looking at his pic - I remember seeing him.
1. Chesapeake (VA) native
2. Team Final is his AAU club
3. As of now hearing from NOVA , Va. , Va. Tech , UNC , Xavier and Pitt “Also a little bit of Georgetown.” - per NBE.com
4. Called GU his favorite back in July fwiw (The Hoyas and Heels are Colbert's dream schools)
here's a write up from Rivals/Eric Bossi (NIKE HOOP JAM / mid JUNE 2010):
Austin Colbert, PF, Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick-
A class of 2013 prospect with a high skill level and terrific motor, Colbert projects as the next high level prospect out of Kevin Boyle's storied St. Pat's program. He blocks shots, corrals tough rebounds in traffic despite a lack of bulk and already has a high skill level on the offensive end. He'll need to add quite a bit of weight to his skinny 6-foot-7, 193 pound frame, but he's likely to make a very favorable impression on coaches.
........................................................................................................
Another prospect I'm trying to find out about is a teammate of Austin's here in NJ:
Bronx native - Jason Boswell '13, St. Patrick's (NJ)
long & athletic 6'6 185 lb SF (Kyrie Irvings Cousin)
school list: Seton Hall, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Syracuse, Georgetown, Pitt, Houston, and more
Offers: Seton Hall, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Pitt, and Houston
I expect an large amount of underclassman to attend this yr . . hope it turns out to be a good event.

Last one kruk,
Do Hoyas have love from St. Pat's or are they one of the "haters" on the program?

MM taks place at most places on the same date. some schools hold it later. For instance Nova always holds theirs a week later than the official start of practice. Doesn't that by definition defeat the purpose of midnight madness?? yes, okay, it's a good recruiting tool and fun for the students, but still..

Stop being a hater. dcist.com/2010/05/wale_agrees_to_make_black_pride_app.phplong live wale! come to march madness! I don't want to derail the MM thread too much, but agreeing to be a guest performer (instead of headlining) after a public outcry doesn't exactly make up for the original act. At the same time, I'm excited he'll be there, but I don't want there to be unnecessary drama with big name recruiting targets in attendance.

Anderson and Ochefu are confirmed. Good stuff. Let's get Mr. Robinson, and we got our trifecta class for 2012.
May want to save a schollie for next year.

Ochefu, Anderson and Robinson would be amazing---but what about Bolden and DSR?
Obviously, we can't have a class of 5, but perhaps saving the scholarships and taking a class of 4 absolute all-stars would be wise. Hood is the only person I would take at this point, but do we really even need him? We need to count on the players we recruited---like Bowen and Moses to develop. Some people are suggesting we take another big--but we simply can't--we need Moses and a senior year Henry to be able to hold down the 5 in 2011-2012.
As for Hood, if the staff really likes him, and he likes us---great. But we have 5 real top flight guys who seem very very interested in being hoyas in 2012. It's tough. Who do we pick if all want to come? Seems like Ochefu and Anderson are the top guys. Who gets # 3 (if we take hood this year and have only one left?) DSR? Robinson? Do we just drop Bolden?

If we land two of the abovementioned three '12 recruits....that's a top 10 class.
If we land Hood, we are looking at a top 20 class for '11....just like the incoming class now. I like it.

The exact replica of this post was probably written a year ago talking about Christmas and Johnny O'B. Let's pump the brakes here ... a lot can happen during a kid's junior-senior year.
