(as will Allerick Freeman) Is he the love child of an Allen Iverson-Derrick Jackson-Austin Freeman menage-a-trois? Funny stuff. Which one's the mother?

Speaking of violations...how are you not a walking violation? Does being Kenner staff make you technically a coach? Dont be giving any of these kids money

Brandon had 5 points and 5 rebounds last night in 14 minutes.
talent has to turn into production at some point here, right?

AAU is guard oriented. His high school is guard oriented. I'm not really psyched about the way this story is going.

We definitely need some first hand accounts to get the real scoop on this kid.

have to admit i'm a little concerned. not sure i could name any big men that averaged 5pts/5rebs their junior year of high school and went on to be a really good college player.

This could turn out to be a very regrettable commitment given how talented this class of big men is. Potential is fine for the NBA, but when you only have a kid for a maximum of 4 years, you need someone who has more than just potential. Unless this kid starts showing some significant improvement soon, I'm not sure he's going to be an impact player for us.

Maybe everyone will come to an agreement that his talents will be better served at another school.

I'll admit to having no idea whether he will have a successful matriculation with the Hoyas or not, but the kid just finished his junior year in high school. And already so many comments doubting the match? Thank goodness nobody gave up on Roy Hibbert like this around the same time in his high school career. Whatever develops - he is just a kid right now.

I didn't say it should happen, but maybe it becomes a discussion.

Concern level has to be raised---AAU ball might not be condusive to bigs--but I've seen plenty of bigs dominate as well--and you can do other things then score---Bolden's been a complete stiff this year--and I like his tools--and was big on getting the type of combo (he and an Ochefu type) together--but at some point--you better start producing in some way or you gotta wonder if basketball is important to the kid. If it's not--don't waste time.

I wonder if Florida saw the same thing RDF, since they offered him as well.
