after watching Sims play this year, I cannot say that I have seen him improve from the beginning of the season until now (he basically bites on every pump fake and directly gives up 2-3 offensive rebounds per game) I hope Adams comes in strong and has a chance to start I'm excited for another big body/rebounder. Henry still has potential but I disagree with you on his improvement throughout this season, I feel like he has degraded and thus needs to regain his off-season swagger. BE MEAN HENRY Trawick and Adams will be well welcomed and hopefully Hopkins can get his motor revving to play ball in college.

Hoya07, i was saying the same last night. Henry needs to stay on his feet and stop reacting to every pump fake, unless the block is definitely there. Can't count how many times he takes himself out of rebounding position. And when he happens to block the ball he seem to always block it well into the seats...another pet peeve of mine.

I, too, think Henry played better earlier in the season. But that's true for almost all of our players, except notably Chris and Nate. Hollis and Julian had a good stretches recently, but haven't shot well for the last two. At least Henry doesn't turn it over as he was doing earlier this season. That's a big improvement. I continue to hope that he will be effective for us down the stretch.

He needs to work on strength and play against guys bigger than him.

from the looks of it, an awesome event and addition.
DSR and Tony Parker also playing. along with what seems to be at least 10+ former Hoya targets.

I missed a few minutes of the game, but I didn't see him score. Wasn't fed the ball a lot, but missed badly on the opportunities I saw him attempt, including two airballs. Had one assist by my count, but didn't do much of anything.
Not a lot to go off since it was the first time I've seen him play, but I was underwhelmed to say the least.

didn't play at all in the 2nd half. not sure if he tweaked something or it was just him being exhausted. if anyone has followed his twitter..he had his SR prom last night and had to make it to Houston this morning.
so that is an explanation for some sluggish play.
but, his offensive game certainly needs some polish. Value early on will hopefully being a presence on defense and the boards.
on another note, Tony Parker is a man. seem he and Tyler are friendly. hope Tyler got in his ear a little bit.

He had 2pts 2 rebound and 2 assists by my count of watching the game. But depends if you want to call what looked like a missed shot that ended up being a pass to a teammate.

Kids looks like he has a long way to go just to get to Vaughns level. But what can you tell from a few minutes of play. Didn't see much lift or quickness. ...it was a pass to another teamate.

Was kept out for medical reasons. But sounds like nothing too serious.

My quick thoughts from a few minutes of play:
1) Tyler didn't show too much athleticism in terms of quickness and jumping ability. Seems like his main advantage athletically is his strength.
2) He didn't look polished at all on the offensive end. From that standpoint, seems like he might struggle to create offense initially.
3) I did actually like his rebounding instincts. He may have only had 2 boards, but he did seem to be active on every shot attempt and move immediately into rebounding position.
Overall, it's just a short stint in an all-star game, so I give the analysis the usual caveat. I hope he recovers from the ailment and comes to the Hilltop ready to work hard!

Based on that game, I don't know how much we should expect from him next season. My view was similar to HoyaPhatty34. Obviously love his frame and, at worst, he looks like he can be a banger that can provide rebounds and 5 fouls. But I expected to see more athleticism. Not sure how his skill level will translate to JT III's offense. Will be interesting to see who wins minutes between him and Moses next year. I do think we'll be relying a lot more on Henry next season than one would expect given Henry's production to date. Translation - I don't expect Adams to provide much next year at all.
