Terrific news. Shout out to the staff for pounding the trail and landing a nice class. Soon, we'll be back to the brand of ball that put the hoyas on the map... dominating rebound differential and out toughing the competition. Interesting how according to espn...we only have 1 top 100 recruit for 2011. In my mind we should be closing in on a top 20 class. Blueandgray, the RSCI report (average of 6 leading recruiting sites) ranks the Hoya recruits as: #62 Miikael Hopkins #69 Tyler Adams Jabril is not included in their Top 100, but ESPN grades Hopkins and Adams at 95 and Jabril at 93. By contrast, in 2010 Nate was graded at 95, Markel 94, Moses 90 and Bowen 89. In 2009, Hollis 91, Vee 86, Jerrelle 83. RSCI

The over under for spots rivals will drop Adams is set at 20. Most people are taking the Over.

Ochefu is talented enough that he doesn't have to worry about who else is on the roster. He'll get playing time if he comes to Georgetown. We have a lot of quality guys on board that are going to be really good for us, but Ochefu is the type of player who can earn minutes despite all that talent.

Great job on landing Adams from a UVA fan. I just laugh at all the Dukies wondering why he chose BigManU....EASY...Over 35+ years of position DOMINANCE by Ewing, Mourning, and Dikembe in the NBA. 20+ years of All-Star selections. Even Hibbert is one of the improving true centers in the league. They were harping about Brand, Boozer, Laettner, and Sheldon Williams....between them - 5 All-Star selections, and only Boozer can add to that now.....Brand and Williams just stealing money in the NBA because they stink. ADAMS is very smart!!

Ahhh! Young and ignorant... I bet he wasn't born before Patrick Ewing entered the league.

Also, McRoberts and Boozer entered Duke as highly regarded prospects and were 2nd round picks when they left. How is that evidence of developing bigs? Ditto Shavlik Randolph. Brand and Williams are successful pros, but they were expected to be coming into college. Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert were not. Their development is the best selling point we have with the current regime in regards to bigs. Ahhh! Young and ignorant... I bet he wasn't born before Patrick Ewing entered the league.

Assuming their skills develop, very few teams are going to be able to matchup physically with an Adams/Ayegba combo.

You lose Henry after 2011, maybe before. At the very least he can't be counted on to produce. So there's plenty of room for Ochefu.

Hank Scorpio, I'm going to have to ask you to play fair with Dukies and not use facts.

;D I bet JT3 really enjoyed that! Who was that reporter who mentioned during the summer how unhappy the GU fans were with the status of recruiting (It's linked somewhere in HoyaTalk)? He probably was reading this board.

Thanks for posting the link. "Coach Kirby...known him since I was 14 or 15". Best quote from dad: "It was pretty simple for me. I'm very familiar with college basketball and certainly with Georgetown. I know how they do it over there so pretty simple for me"

I think I saw earlier quotes from him about Hoya Bigs in the NBA AND about graduating. Gotta love dad's like Tyler's.

Tyler and his Brandon HS team are off to an 8-0 start to season with Tyler averaging:
15 pts, 10 boards, 5 blocks, and 3 assists per game right now. His top game of year was last week when he had a triple double of 15 pts, 14 boards, and 14 blocked shots.
Tyler also was recognized by Jackson Clarion Ledger as a preseason Super 10 Selection for the 3rd year in a row--and he joins some elite company in that list--all who played in NBA--and includes former Hoya and MS HS great Othella Harrington. Great honor for Tyler!

Tyler, keep working hard. Next year there will be playing time for good post defenders.
