Ouch. Also saw that JR post player (Hoyas have been mentioned) Gavin Ware had 19 in the win for Starkville.

Tyler and Brandon are in a tournament down in Raleigh, NC and in opening round he faces off against Duke commit Marshall Plumlee. Saw Marshall play this past Summer--he's athletic, moves up/down the court well--but isn't very tough-so if Adams uses his strength--he should do well. Not sure of how good Plumlee's teammates are though--and seems Brandon's guards are a bit up/down.

Brandon HS got blown out 70-46 but didn't stop Tyler from supposedly dominating the Plumlee. finished with 21 and 11. tweets from JoshCapersScout: Adams looks to have started to transform some of his natural size into muscle. I'm liking what I've seen from him early.
Tyler Adama has shown pretty much everything you want from a big in the first 6 mins. Hands, passing, rebounds, post moves, blocks, beast!
Tyler Adams showing a nice faceup game and canning jumpers
Plumlee's second shot attempt was again ERASED by Adams. I like kids like him a lot.
Drop step and right handed hook over his left shoulder. Nice move for Adams.

Thanks a lot AI. It sounds like Adams was playing with a fire under him.

www.newsobserver.com/2010/12/29/886702/christ-school-wins.html?tab=gallery&gallery=/2010/12/28/886674/1st-look-christ-school-70-brandon.html&gid_index=1RALEIGH -- Christ School of Arden advanced to the semifinals of the Summit Hospitality Group with a convincing 70-46 win over Brandon, Miss., despite the efforts of the Bulldogs' big man, 6-foot-9 Georgetown recruit Tyler Adams.
Adams won the battle in a matchup with 7-foot Duke recruit Marshall Plumlee, but the Arden Greenies advanced to face Charlotte United Faith tonight at 7:20 at Broughton's Holliday Gymnasium.
At halftime, the Greenies led 38-23 as Brigham Young recruit Demarcus Harrison had 14 points.
In the pivot, though, Adams had 14 points and seven rebounds, while blocking all three of Plumlee's shots from the field. By game's end, Adams had 21 points and 11 rebounds with four blocked shots.
Harrison led the winners with 20, and T.D. Dixon scored 10. Plumlee ended the game with nine points and eight rebounds.
"Tyler was great for them, but my focus was on getting Marshall back into the game, mentally," Christ School coach David Gaines said. "And he came back in the second half."

I don't know his level of comp but Adams is sounding like a total stud who could push for minutes right away. Good stuff.

Click on the link that MCI provided, click on gallery right above the picture. On page 8, there is a good photo of Adams guarding Plumlee. The kid has a big east body already. Will be excited to see him develop.

They look similar in height despite Adams being listed @6'9 and Plumlee @ 6'11. Hoyas need a horse, looks like they've gotten one.

His weakness seems to be his lift/athleticism. It will be interesting to see if its like some players and it's not improvable or whether getting in really good shape could change that. Bulk v Lift is always and risky trade-off unless you're a freak like DeJuan Blair or Charles Barkley.

Yeah, but Barkley was always a good athlete. Despite his heft; in college Barkley was always puttin it on people. Pros too. His problem was he was 6'5. Still a HOF'er nonetheless.

11 points, 9 boards and 2 assists today.
Seems Tyler doesn't have much help..Brandon was blown out by Word of God. (who has multiple high major kids)
an NC State guy said Georgetown was there to see Tyler and also check in on Word of God's, TJ Warren. 2012 small forward.

Ouch. Also saw that JR post player (Hoyas have been mentioned) Gavin Ware had 19 in the win for Starkville. Glowing article on Scout today about Ware. Sounds like Hoyas are in the lead for this top 75 class of 2012 PF/C.
