Some Buzz around WKU because Phil Cunningham is coming over to Western's staff from State as an assistant. They might get Jared Swopshire 2..

Just fell off my chair. Think I would rather have Devonta, since he could play now, but still, this is really interesting. Wonder if he has any interest in us.

Would Hood take an athletic scholarship during his year sitting out?

Would he have to sit out a year if there was a coaching change?

Yes, he would have to sit out a year. I would put in a call ASAP. All the SEC schools are out. Louisville has a serious scholarship crunch although i'm sure Pitino will try to find a way. Florida State and Marquette were in there before and Western Kentucky will for sure be in it.

Transfer are only worth it unless they are staying their complete eligibility. I don't see him staying that long.

He would be worth it.

This kid is a stud, but I don't know if it's necessarily so worth it, if he has to sit out one year. Class of 2014 is loaded with talents as well.

I agree with Sleepy. The kid IS a stud... maybe a super-stud. He would have an entire year to practice with the team and get completely comfortable with the system. Then, he'd step into the line-up and play at a VERY high, potentially ALL BIG EAST level. Even if he stays only one year (plus the transfer/ineligible year) he'd be totally worth it.

Agree with Sleepy and SirSaxa. As we've seen many times before, getting accustomed to our system is the toughest transition for many kids. Practicing for a year before he plays would allow a mega talent to hit the ground running, and with the likelihood of Otto vaulting into the lottery he would be a perfect transition.

Even if you have him for one year, it's well worth it. He is a complete basketball player.

Every top program in the country is going to be after him. Duke, UNC, and OSU have already reached out to MSU. Get me Pollard.
