Nothing new on Twitter. There was just that one guy who claimed he was hearing stuff about Nerlens announcing today, but it hasn't been backed up by anyone. So right now, I don't think there's anything legit out there. Somebody did ask Nerlens if he has a date, and Noel just said "whenever". I really hope it's this week!

The guy is a Maryland fan....if you look at his feed he even sent a message to a recruit telling him to come to TerpNation. My guess is the guy is a troll who is just trying to get the Gtown fanbase riled up.

And his stunt seems to have failed miserably, as no one is buying his Noel info.

I've seen Layman and Cleare. UMD will be a lot better. As for us, the longer Noel waits the better for us I feel

If he was a cuse fan then I would say yes, but this guy seemed to have some respect for the history of hoya big men so I say hes not a troll.

Above the Rim (1994):
" Syracuse Man: Did you get your **** off for the Georgetown scout?
**** Syracuse Man: Think you got everybody figured, and then... like that, they change. You're still unsigned, right? Waiting on Georgetown?
Nerlens: How did you know that?
Syracuse Man: It's my business. I know a lot of schools that would like a nice shot blocking center like you.
****
Nerlens: There was a Georgetown scout out there, and I **** up!
****
Alonzo Mourning: Georgetown? I don't think so. Show me something, and don't let it be that weak-ass jumper of yours.
****
Nerlen's Single Mom: This came to the office for you yesterday. Nerlens: What?
Nerlen's Mom: It's just a letter. Nerlen's: A letter from where?
Mom: Georgetown.
Nerlens: I've been waiting for this moment.
**** Syracuse Man: Almost forgot. Heard you're a Hoya now. Congratulations. What you think they'll think up in Georgetown about the presents you took?
****
Bill Raferty: Welcome back once again to the Verizon Center
The Hoyas of Georgetown down by a couple to Seton Hall in the conference championship game.
Only nine seconds remaining now. Let's explore the option for head coach John Thompson. He can take it down low, a high-percentage play. Maybe he'll get to the free-throw line and send it into overtime.
But Nerlens Noel's had the hot hand for the second half.
Will he go to Noels? and bomb away for the outside?
Nine seconds left.
Who will be the man to get it? Noels with the ball
Gives it up. They better hurry.
Better make a decision. They find Noels on the high post.
Three for three! Yes! Georgetown does it!
Noels coming through!
A conference championship
for the Georgetown Hoyas!
Another for John Thompson.
And mayhem at Verizon.
And with good reason.
The play worked to perfection.
The pick and the back door
Noels coming around,
finding the necessary spacing, and look at the rotation. The perfect form on the -point play
Downstairs, he comes free
and finds that necessary spacing.
What a great deal of momentum now
for John Thompson's Georgetown Hoyas
as they get ready for the Big Dance,
the NCAA Tournament.
Noels asked for the ball.
He got it.
Now he's downstairs with our Bill Raff.
Raf: Got to feel pretty good, huh, Nerlens?
Nerlens: Great!
Raf: What were you thinking of when you made that shot? Nerlens: Just thinking about spreading my fingers and popping my wrist. Raf: All right, Nerlens, Congratulations.

If Mr. Noel truly wants to improve his game and prepare for his career in the League, no better way than to spend the summer battling with, and learning from, a bunch of guys named Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, Hibbert, Monroe, Harrington - and we all know that there is only one way that happens.

Syracuse beat writer Mike Waters on the inhome visits last weekduring a Qand A today.
Mike Waters: I kept hearing that it's SU and Kentucky, but G'town is still very involved. All three schools visited Noel and his family last week.
The SU coaches had to make their visit on Wednesday evening after G'town's coaches had been in for over 2 hours that afternoon. That didn't help SU in its presentation. Presentations get boring.
He then went on later to say that he felt it was 40/40 SU and KU and 20 for GU.

He has no idea. Neither does anyone else. People are giving UK and SU better odds because of the belief that if money changes hands, they will play that game and GU will not. If it's a straight up decision, we have the same shot as anyone else.

Was talking to my roommate (who went to Georgia Tech & UCLA) yesterday about the Final Four and we discussed the lowering draft stock of Harrison Barnes (I realize he's not a big man, but he was mentioned), Perry Jones III, Jared Sullinger, and possibly even John Henson & Tyler Zeller compared to where they would have been last year.
And he said, "If you are a big man and you are projected to be a top pick, you have to leave as soon as you can, because they are not going to develop you in college. No one does it. No one knows how. In the pros, you see guys get paid by going early like Brendan Wright & Ed Davis, even if they suck, or develop pro bodies and games like Andrew Bynum and Kevin Love if they are big time, but regardless, they all went early while the upside was big and they got paid."
I looked at him and said, "What about Georgetown? Roy Hibbert? Greg Monroe? Jeff Green? We develop big men."
His response: "Yeah, but you're Big Man U. "
Big Man U. We know, other fans know, the NBA knows, and you know, Nerlens, GU is where you learn to be a Big Man. Make it happen. Hoya Saxa!

Completely agree. I can not believe that JT III was not a big hit with his mom.
