Great point - and to tie into that, there are schools where you do not really have to understand the system. If you have athleticism and can shoot, some schools have systems like Run-N-Gone where you can dunk over people, avg 18 points a game and become a stud. Georgetown is definitely not that kinda place (reason why I was not so hyped about Pollard on the other thread) - you need to "get" the system before you can make contributions with your natural abilities. There is a possibility where NN comes in and gets lost in the system for a year, when he is only going to play college ball for a year anyway. I'd hope that if JTIII got the #1 recruit in the country he could adjust his system in the slightest bit to play to NNs talents... just saying Where have you guys been for the past eight years? The offense and the defense change every year to fit the key personnel.

I really hope he makes his decision before the high school game at the Final Four. I don't want Nerlens around all the UK boosters there - I'm sure WW Wes would be in his ear.

I don't want to stir something up over what's most likely bogus info but some random dude on twitter tweeted earlier and said "I'm hearing there's a very good chance that Nerlens Noel commits to Georgetown tomorrow." I don't know how to link you directly to that tweet but here's a link to his page. twitter.com/#!/bmorehoopster

You can post this twitter with the disclaimer that you have no clue about the validity but it would not be speculation on your part. If that twitter account is somew how your twitter account, I think that would be against board rule (technically) because it would be self-advertising?

Is Nerlens Noel a program changer?
Not so much for Syracuse. The 2-3 zone and free form offense will not highlight this young man's abilities. Not so much for Kentucky: They would be right where they are now if all things break right. Noel would not be revered any more than Anthony Davis and od forbid they didn't make a Final four.
For Georgetown? Absolute PROGRAM CHANGER. First off he would be ANOTHER GREAT HOYA BIG MAN. Next year's Hoyas would also have the bodyguards and interior depth to allow Noel to block tons of shots and stay out of foul trouble. Tyler Adams playing Ed Spriggs, Hopkins and Moses adding a little Michael Graham. Not to mention Otto and Greg (maybe Hollis) wreaking havoc as 6'8" wing players. Hell add an increased role for Jabril Trawick and the Hoyas would be the closest they have been to 1982-1985 IMO.
I am telling you right now that Jabril will make a huge jump next year and be the toughest defender at the guard position that we have seen in a very long time. Hopkins is also going to become a very useful player next year. The kind of player that allows you to handle horrid NCAA whistles and not lose anything when a starter has to go to the bench. You give me Nerlen's Noel flanked by Adams or Moses at certain times with Greg, Otto and either Markel or Jabril and I will tell you good luck scoring. Noel=Title IMO.
Tha being said I do not believe he comes to GU. Hope I am wrong. I will still go to war with Adams/Ayegba banging around at the 5 with Hopkins and Nate at the 4 and Greg, Otto, DSR, Jabril and Markel handling the perimeter. I assume Hollis will go pro.

I almost feel guilty posting in this thread, because it will make people check to see if I have news about recruitment.
