From what I hear, O'Bryant wants to be more of a 3/4, and Christmas a 4/5. I think we can get both and I think III will target both. Actually still think we should grab Tyrone Johnson at guard, pray for O'Bryant and Christmas to commit, and then with our fourth grab Jordan Omegbehin. Summers/Green/Hibbert worked pretty well - let's go back to what works. Rak and Johnny could definitely play together. No doubt about that. And man, would we be imposing on the frontline (and factor Nate into that). We would be monsters up front. In an ideal world, we land Rak, Johnny, Tyrone or Quinn and probably someone like Mychael Henry (would like someone like Brandon Dawson also but that likely won't happen). Others up front: Angelo Chol is really good, but I don't see him coming to the Hoyas. Other targets like Hopkins, Lawson, Leek, Hubert, Sullivan, Jordan O. Lots of big men talent in this class. Of course, none of this ever shakes out as we think and there are always recruits that come into the picture for the Hoyas late in the game. Will be interesting to see who we get at the 1/2 if we can't land either Tyrone or Quinn. Do we sit on that schollie for '12 and let Markel and Vee run the show?

He may want to be a 3/4 but he's a 4/5. Roc is a 4. Both would play some 5 in this system.

Myles Davis is talked as being one of--if not the best shooter in class of '11 and it's got a ton of them.

Plus with a name like that, I'm sure we'd come up with great nicknames.

I am glad Myles Davis' name has finally come up on a Georgetown board. He goes to St. Peter's Prep (Jesuit high school) in Jersey City, NJ. Everytime time I read about him (against Patterson catholic, oak hill, st anthony's), he sounds like the best player on the court yet he hasn't got any love on recruiting sites. I remember also reading an article saying that Gtown was his dream school.

Only issue with Davis is he might be a little small, 6'0" shooting guard. However, he's one of those kids that just seems to get the job done. Not a lot of high major talent typically comes out of St. Peter's Prep...most of the top kids from junior high in that area go to St. Anthony's, St. Benedict's, etc. Davis must be a late-bloomer, probably does not have an entitlement attitude. Like the sounds of him as a sniper off the bench type.

He's not a late bloomer. He transferred from St. Benedict's (said he wanted to focus more on academics) and was always one of NJ's top 2011 high school players just didn't get recruiting respect. I've followed him and hope Gtown gets excited by him.
Ron Roberts is also from St Peter's but before him - you're right - there hasn't been much as St Anthony's takes all Jersey City talent.

Jabari Brown, #28 currently in rivals for 2011, is now hearing from Gtown and Kansas. 6'3 shooting guard. Maryland just offered. Out of Oaktown.

From Rivals (Nike Elite):
"Kyan Anderson (2011 Team Texas)- The small but speedy point guard was impressive running the point for Team Texas. He wisely picked his spots on the way to 16 points and a number of assists.
His top five schools are Wake Forest (offer), USC (offer), UCLA, Georgetown and Miami. Santa Clara and SMU have also offered."

Davis is really undersized for sg and would really be redundant as long as we land Tyrone or someone at pg. He's really good though and is one of the guys Lavin should be bringing in if he wants to bring the Johnnies back (though if he has to pick one Lavin should be all over Mack instead).

This is NOT a prediction but if it turns out to be true--don't think anyone will have any complaints. My pick for the ideal '11 class:
Rakeem Christmas Johnny O'Bryant Sam Thompson Tyrone Johnson

Man O'Bryant looks like a beast. Given his ability to hit j's, dribble and dominate inside Gtown and our offense is the perfect fit for him. I hope he sees that. I'm going to plug again that Faust is turning heads because I still think he's underrated. Some of his game reminds me of General Butthead on Maryland. Playaz has Mack, who is very good.

The scary part about someone like O'Bryant is that you can go very big with him - he's a skilled player capable of playing the 4, so you throw another big body out there like a Christmas, and all of a sudden you can play some defense.
Team Takeover and Boo Williams should get some ink too. Congrats to them, and they are just reminding us that DCA is not the best AAU team/program in the area.

Myles Davis '11 of St. Peter's Prep has narrowed his list to UConn, Pitt, Georgetown, St. Joe's, Villanova, George Mason, & Virginia.

That is an impressive list. Need to close on 2 or 3 of these guys. We are also mentioned with several top players from the 2012 class.
Speaking of which, is Jordan Goodman coming from the class of 2011 or 2012?
