This can be very good from a marketing the program perspective. My biggest issue is the lack of contrast (as someone else said earlier). I would really like to be able to read the number on the jersey! Completely agree -- they should have went with black trim but maybe that's too Raideresque. I always liked the old Evansville uniforms (short sleeved shirts). Retro every day!

Well, that makes sense. There are no ties in college basketball.

I vote that when the Hoyas are playing poorly--they should be forced to wear a Jordan Brand uniform--with a picture of Esherick on the chest, a fist on front of shorts and double fist on back of shorts--to symbolize what you do to relieve yourself on each side and his hall of fame caliber calls from sideline.

If we are losing to ND at halftime with these uniforms, we'd had damn well better come out in the second half with new unis....with ducks on them.

Until the internet age, Nike was a big reason that Georgetown basketball and even the school stayed nationally significant for the last 30 years. I don't mind doing what they ask once in a while.

if anyone watched the cal and UNC games that picture they have up of the gtown jersey doesn't really reflect the true color of the uniforms...definitely not as shiny as that picture. I think you will see they look better in person/live. Pretty much gray to me!

That guys a hack. It makes no sense saying that Carolina is following Cal & Gtown when Carolina wore them first and it's their damn player's fault. It's not the Air Ewing brand or the Air Abdur-Rahim brand that came up with the idea, it was the Air Jordan brand.

How many times do we have to suffer through this? No more silver uniforms, no more black, just traditional blue and gray. Please. The other colors do not work.

They looked like something we bought for our kids summer league, not for a big time program.

In the early 1990's, Syracuse trotted out special navy blue jerseys for a game against Kentucky, and were embarassed. Jim Boeheim said as much that he would lock them in a drawer and never have his team wear them again.
Good advice...

Better advice would be to take the silver and the black uniforms and have a bonfire on Copley Lawn. Let's hope we never see either again. I am tired of losing.

Pocket the Nike money and sell them in the bookstore but those uniforms should never see the court again.

Maybe that jersey in particular, but it's not like Cuse hasn't worn Navy since then... www.suathletics.com/images/2008/2/24/rp_primary_jonny.jpg
