I know old man syndrome has set in, but those uniforms look awful - they belong in a high school all star game - or the NBA Celebrity game. If we lose - blame the unis.

I don't like how Nike has gone absolutely crazy with jersey styles in recent years. It seems like they control everything. If these go on sale, if you think that enough is enough, I would suggest that you do not, under any circumstances, buy one of these.
That said, silver really is just shiny gray. The problem with these is that there's no contrast, making it hard to read, but other than that, it's basically the same jersey. I suppose I can live with this for one game, but I do hope that we are getting a boatload of money from Nike for putting up with this.
The positive you can take from this is that Nike thinks we are "big time" enough to allow us to be one of the three schools for this 25th anniversary. Although I'm not sure how Cal or any of the Pac-10 schools could be considered big time this year. Or North Carolina, for that matter, at 3-10 in the ACC, but I guess they have the tradition plus Jordan went there.
Anyway, I thought the North Carolina jerseys looked weird but not that bad. I expect Cal's to look worse. I think ours will look the best out of the three, because silver is pretty close to gray.
However, I'm starting to feel a bit like Oregon, Nike's guinea pig, and it makes me feel dirty... I'm gonna take a shower.

The uniform looks good. It's practically gray. And man, it sure sucks to be one of three programs and I'm sure no HS kids will think this is cool.

I like how mixed the reaction is. I think they look awful, but to each his own, and as long as we win, they can dress them in teletubby costumes. THAT was supposed to be a surprise for the BET. Who told you?

Ha. I think they look awesome. The warm up is sweet. I wish I was younger and knew more hip adjectives. I will stick with awesome and sweet.
Cal, UNC and Gtown are the 3 jumpman schools. They have been for years as far as I know. This isnt a really new thing with these 3.

If those uniforms don't win us the gold medal, then I just don't know what the judges are thinking.
Are we re-naming the bench the "kiss & cry"?
(Just kidding; they're ok....for one game; maybe if the students shine flashlights on them when ND is at the line, they can distract Harangody and his wee, beady little eyes.)

Marquette just joined that lineup (somehow no idea why) this past year ditching converse.... and yes despite some whining about changing of uniforms or getting experimental ones.....hey we're one of the few chosen and it def does do well with high school prospects soooo i'm all for them. btw those black unis look 100 times better than our normal navy road unis....that collar and belt contrast....wooooof

This can be very good from a marketing the program perspective. My biggest issue is the lack of contrast (as someone else said earlier). I would really like to be able to read the number on the jersey!

But to each his own. And this thread is about the silver uniforms, so I don't want to get into the navy blue vs. black debate that has already been discussed ad naseum. That said, I really like the new version of our jerseys this year, I think it is an improvement over what we had 2005-2009 - more classic looking. I hope we stick with this for at LEAST the next few seasons. However, as long we we wear gray at home and navy blue on the road, I can't complain too much. I suppose I can live with a black game or two a season and an occasional Jordan promotion, as long as it's not too ridiculous.

What part of blue and gray doesn't the Athletic Department understand? These are good looking uniforms, but not for a Georgetown team. No need for new uniforms, or other distractions. WE ARE GEORGETOWN, not the Silver Surfers. Go Hoyas! Beat the Irish.

Maybe ND will break out their green unis and we can just have a color explosion!

Well, they usually lose in green, so that wouldn't bother me one bit.

Looks like they have a dress shirt collar and a belt on. I wish they went with a more solid color (like all navy with less jarring contrast on the trim) Overall i do like home unis alot. my only point was the fact that recruits are high school kids...wouldn't you be excited to play at a school who gets hooked up with a bunch of cool gear that other teams around the country don't get? I'm all for us being an elite program that nike/jordan feels is worthy enough to showcase their products

Those unis would look sweet under a blacklight. I don't understand all of the uniform experimentation but I really don't care as long as we win. Sell, baby, sell!
