Holy crap! We harp on a loss for days and this is already up? I think it has something to do with Catholic guilt but that's just a theory. Dan is, again, all over it.

I just checked a South BEnd Tribune article that said Brey hopes to have 'Gody back for the game tomorrow against Pitt tomorrow.

Harangody will be back. Won't matter - Austin Carr and John Shumate will not be. ND would need them to win Saturday.

We need to hold Gody to under 10 points. It is ridiculous that a player who will never play a minute in the NBA is pushed by the likes of Len Elmore for Palyer of the year over Greg and Austin. We really need to play well in this one.

I hope Gody comes back and leads ND past Pitt. That would help us in the standings. Then Greg can beast him on Saturday and announcers can finally scrap this Harangody for player of the year nonsense. I don't care what his stats are, there is no way that clown should be in the conversation.

Gody is a good college player. He'll get his but Hoyas SHOULD still win this one easily.
On another note, as I type this according to warrennolan.com real-time RPI, the Big East has five of the top ten teams in the country (Hoyas sneak back in at 10th, along with Cuse, Nova, WVU and Pitt. Unbelievable.

Give Gody his due -- he made himself into a very good player. "No NBA potential" is irrelevant if he goes for 25 on Saturday.

We need to hold Gody to under 10 points. It is ridiculous that a player who will never play a minute in the NBA is pushed by the likes of Len Elmore for Palyer of the year over Greg and Austin. We really need to play well in this one. While I disagree with your analysis that NBA potential should factor into the discussion, Austin Freeman and Greg Monroe should be on the short list. Look at the Big East stats (before tonight) relative to Wes Johnson and Scottie. Stats quoted are ones where the players are ranked in the top 15 in the league. If I had to pick one it would be Monroe. Ranked 15th in scoring but in the top 10 in the league in rebounds, assists, blocks and FG%. Austin - 19.6 (Pts), 2nd in 3p%, 4th in Fg% Monroe - 15.6 (Pts), 9.0 (RB), 3.9 (Ass), 1.8 (Bks), 7th in Fg% Scottie - 20.5 (Pts), 1.6 (Stls), 6th in 3p% Johnson - 15.1 (Pts), 9.4 (RB) , 1.7 (Bks) Source: www.bigeast.org/fls/19400/stats/mbasketball/2009-2010/CONFONLY.HTM#conf.wki

Last I heard Gody was unlikely for the game against pitt. But knowing our luck of getting every teams best shot/ game he'll be back for our game.
We've blown out ND every time at home recently. I hope this trend continues.

GODY OR NO GODY ... doesn't matter ..we better play with fire and finish them early .. they shoot 40+% from the 3 and are still fighting that bubble some what... A win at home is expected - but not given. Here's to Chris Wright breaking loose and bringing back that 3headed monster.
