richfame: Hilarious - so true. Let's hope Moses is better than Daymond Jackson and Jerry Nichols.

Jerry Nichols actually wasn't a bad recruit, just a bad player once he got to the Hilltop.
Bad recruits were guys like John Jacques, Kevin Millen, Joseph Toumou to name a few off the top of my head.

BIG john wants to start recruiting again? Where was he the last 10 years of his coaching career? Second wind? Whatever works... for the team!

Not sure how you can say Jerry Nichols wasn't a bad recruit, just a bad player. Part of recruiting is evaluating talent and determining who will play well in your system and excel at the next level. Nichols was a horrendous recruit.
How about Anthony Perry?!?! I still have bad dreams about that guy.

Rivals is reporting that Gtown and Tennessee are Moses's top 2 schools (with Kentucky lurking if Cal decides to get more involved).

What is TN's connection to the DC area? I know he decommitted, but they got in on Josh Selby early. Is there somebody on Pearl's staff that is well-connected to the area?

Just hope any kid who goes there doesn't become a dope peddler like Duke Crews.

While it sounds like the staff (and the Thompson family as a whole!) have really been focused on this kid, he still plays for DC Assault and we all know that connection has been problematic for us.

Kevin Millen was "Mr. Basketball" in Tennessee. Daymond Jackson was every bit the "Ham-n-Egger" that Bill Raftery described him ass after he missed a windmill dunk during a game. Moses Abraham sounds like a game changer on the defensive end. That is never a bad thing.

Actually he never suited up for Assault--he was going to join that circus--and nobody understood why because he supposedly was qualified academically for '10 class--so he's come to be one of the "hottest" recruits in Spring signing period. We'll see if he's a factor or not--but he's got a lot of potential--and willingness to learn/improve--which is more then most kids these days who think they walk on water by simply getting double digits against overmatched competition in HS/AAU ball.

From Rivals
Orlando Antigua has seen Abraham play, and Boncore, a former coach in the Baltimore-Washington area, said they've remained in contact, telling him a scholarship could be available should UK freshman post player DeMarcus Cousins leave for the NBA draft. With Cousins' draft stock rising seemingly by the week, his departure is now largely expected. "We know Kentucky, and we know what Kentucky is about," Boncore said. "A Kentucky offer is a Kentucky offer.
"If Kentucky offers, and it looks like they're going to, they'd be right up there with Georgetown."

A Kentucky offer is a Kentucky offer. It's too bad that there's no "s" in the phrase "A Kentucky offer". Makes it a lot harder to put a dollar sign in it.

An offer from the Wildcat$ may be a decent enough substitute.

An offer from the Wildcat$ may be a decent enough substitute. The problem is that it can be easily confused with Ari$ona. Maybe we should just add a silent "z" to Kentuczky? ;D

It could also be confused with Villanova, in which case a $ sign does not do much justice to what truly goes on. Anyone know a symbol for drug money?

Sanford is best defensive guard on team. Just hope Starks is watching and seeing he can get minutes by simply trying to play defense. As for Moses--just rebound/challenge shots and that should earn him minutes.

This kid could get major minutes if learns system as quick as Benimon did, because the Hoyas need an athletic big man to play the center position. Vaughn has tried admirably this year but as the BE season heated up he has been less and less a factor both on offense and defense. A shot blocker and rebounder is what this team really needs as a compliment to Monroe.
