Is this a permanent condition? No, it only happens during games.

I didnt get to watch todays game. How Did henry do today? No meaningful contribution. Only play I remember was a terrible entry pass. No worries though, he will help us this year.

Listen I think GrahamFan has a point. Just look at the difference between Hollis and Henry. Hollis Looks sharp, and confident and really has been in the hoya system for what a year to a year and a half. Now take Henry, this is the start of his second year and who is on the floor durning crunch time.... Hollis. Personally its a stretch to say weve seen a ton of potential out of Henry. He may turn out to be a fantastic 4 y ear athlete but as of this second I dont think hes shown much. Sorry I completely agree with Graham here... I agree as well. Henry looks more like a 4-year project at this point for what he has displayed thus far. Vaughn and Clark have shown potential since they have been here, despite being raw in the skill department and have evolved nicely. Henry is at different stage than they are. It eerily reminds you have Macklin's develop his 1st 2 years here.

Hopefully Henry will have the patience to stick with it and not quit like macklin did. Henry will come around he's shown potential. He'll be good for us in spots and down the line.

Henry strike me as Roy Hibbert, except he traded 3 inches for more athleticism and a worse handle.
unfortunately, we're deeper at the pf/center position, so roy was forced into game situations and henry's learning from the sidelines.
but i'm confident his junior/senior years will feature a dramatic improvement from his current condition (or how he walked onto campus), even if he remains a role player until that time.

If he stays with it and works hard, he will see see his minutes & productivity increase gradually. He can be a solid rotation player by his senior year.

If shows the same improvement as JTIII's players show, he will be a major contributor next year with Monroe gone. I expect he will contribute more this yeah than Vaughn did last year. And we are all seeing how that is working out......

We will see what his playing time is when the Big East season begins (St. Johns does not count).

We need to get Henry minutes so he's at least a serviceable member of the rotation.
But he is not Hibbert or even Macklin. Sims can operate pretty much in one way and that's receiving passes and finishing or getting putbacks. That's fine, if he can do that he can give us a some minutes.
But he has zero passing ability to spell Monroe. Macklin and Hibbert were both excellent passers. Mack was more athletic than Henry and Roy was more skilled. Sims is fine, but I'm a little surprised he doesn't have the makings of a go-to move. Macklin even had that little roll to the middle of the court.
So let's not go too crazy with Henry. We need him for depth, but to just say "He's just like (insert other guy we've had recently)" I don't think is accurate.

Henry's biggest obstacle looks like it's Vaughn's improved play. If Vaughn keeps playing the way he has, he's going to eat up a lot of minutes, and since Greg's minutes are unlikely to drop, Vaughn's increased minutes are going to come directly from Henry.
Henry will still be important to the team - a 3rd big man is great for depth - but I don't think he'll play as much as we were expecting this season.

We will see what his playing time is when the Big East season begins (St. Johns does not count). Same St. John's that kicked our butts last year? Henry is going to be NEEDED--and he's got to answer the bell. He was the youngest player in CBB last year--and he's still learning. Talent is there--just needs the confidence. He's also a very good passer--problem is he's got to work on using ball fakes and be more decisive--which Coach Brennan was showing him on bench.

Yeah I'm hoping he meant st. John's didn't count because of the timing rather than their quality of play. They've looked pretty decent this year besides what happened last year.

We need Henry, so hopefully he will keep his chin up, work hard and make some decent improvement over the next 3-4 weeks. When we get into the BE, there will be nights when Greg and/or Julian get into foul trouble, and Henry will have to be able to give us some boards and some defensive presence. A rough first month, but I have faith that the staff will bring him along - just hope it happens fairly quickly.

We will see what his playing time is when the Big East season begins (St. Johns does not count). Yeah as RDF and HSB stated, St. John's is 8-1. Their only loss is to Duke at Cameron by 9. They beat the Temple team that just took out Villanova 55-48. They have Hofstra and Bryant before facing us, so there's a good chance they will be 10-1 heading into our New Year's Eve showdown. That and we lost to them twice last year. Let's not look past them, or really anyone. ODU and Harvard are not slouches either. Back to Henry, I don't know why we're so obsessed with him, I'm more excited by Vaughn's play. Henry made a bad pass and didn't get much of a chance on Saturday, but we will need him at times this season. Hope he continues to improve. But Vaughn's emergence has made Henry's development less pressing, at least for this season.

That's 3 of the 7 players in the BIG EAST averaging at least 34 minutes per game. We have one of them with Clark (34.2).
