For what it's worth, there are some nebulous and possibly completely unfounded rumors percolating around that Duke is out of the race. (I routinely just search for "Roscoe smith" on twitter.)

You're right tjm....It's actually quite the opposite from those rumors. Duke has had a chance to strengthen their relationship with Smith after they lost out on Barnes. If Smith had made his decision earlier, Duke would have no time to "make up for lost time". Since Smith is waiting until the spring, it has evened the playing field with GU and UCONN somewhat.

disagree alexd while they have the opportunity to they don't seem to be. Instead they're scrambling and a new wing recruit pops up every week. I don't think he ends up at duke. They're not focusing on him and really working hard to get back in this. That tells me they know exactly where they stand.

Kids are politicians. I don't think anything has really changed with him or his interest in the hoyas.

Not for nothing , but I wish he had a HOYA t-shirt under his jersey in that recent dunk contest instead of a UCONN Tee ... AT ANY RATE ... I still hope he ends up at the Hilltop.

I'm a subscriber to Scout.com and they just posted Roscoe Smith made a verbal to UConn today.

I mean yeah it would have been nice to have him, but after seeing him play the other night I didn't feel blown away. I am not a fan of guys who just want to hang around the perimeter all day.

Well that blows, he probably would have fit in well. But if we're splitting minutes at the 1-2-3 next year between Chris, Austin, Jason, Hollis, Vee, Markel, we'll be ok. Wanted a big more than another wing anyways.

Glad the drama is over - situation just didn't have the hallmarks of a classic Hoya recruiting victory.
Also, how many times can the guy on the other site be wrong about recruiting? I wish he would start making market calls so I could take the other side.

It does seem that people who pop for the Hoyas "just know" -- there's rarely a lot of wait for most of them.

I'd be willing to forgive him if he wasn't such a dik 98% of the time. I'm not going to trash roscoe because I don't know the kid, but bad choice son. I'd just as soon stay away from the few recruits that draw out these recruitments over months and years simply to draw attention to themselves.
