If it is any consolation, Duke's Roscoe thread is not much better, but their page count is in some rarified air in terms of length. Think Latavious.

When I see these recruiting threads heat up, I read through them hoping to get some real news...only to be disappointed at the Editeding contest that is unfortunately all that's ever going on. The sniping is so boring.

The sniping is so boring. But...but...it's people we don't know arguing over who learns from other people we don't know more half-legitimate information about high school kids we don't know and then posts it anonymously on the internet. What could be more exciting than that?!

The sniping is so boring. Agreed! And then I see "if it's any consolation" written on the top of the page, and I thought it was over & done & we lost out. This is becoming a thread about a thread.

This is what he had to say about us, I dont want to post to much and break the rules, but here goes a little piece.
Smith is down to Georgetown, Connecticut and Duke. All three schools have their particular advantages, and Smith broke down the three and what he likes about each.
“With Georgetown I like everything basketball wise and outside of basketball,” Smith said. “Even though they always talk about the Princeton offense, it gets it done and they win games.”

"I like everything" sounds like a pretty good endorsement. Here's hoping.

If someone else wants to obliquely inform me about what he likes about Duke and Uconn, I'd be happy to hear it.
But yes, I agree it sounds like a ringing endorsement.

UConn - its history with SFs (putting them in the league).
Duke - the freedom of the offense.
Gtown - EVERYTHING.

At the risk of reading too much into it, especially since damnhoya is just paraphrasing, if I were paranoid about it I might be concerned with what he likes about Duke.
Who knows what he meant by that, and he may not have meant it as a comparison (i.e. the Duke offense gives you freedom, and by comparison Gtown offense doesn't), but that may be on his mind.

but he also said this: "Even though they always talk about the Princeton offense, it gets it done and they win games.” I think he's at least fine with the Princeton offense.

I don't want to put too fine a point on it, but to me "EVERYTHING" trumps whatever else he might have said!

He's a smart kid he's sees through the negative recruiting. He know's the best place for him playing wise/development wise
