I agree. I also wish we could get a top-5 shooting guard, small forward, power forward and center.

relax--we have starks coming in. that same website has him ranked #18 for PGs. And he's relatively under-the-radar, so i'm betting he'll outperform his ranking.
and the CW hate is kinda out of place considering CW woulda been on that list when he was in HS somewhere, probably.

"Chris Wright doesn't excite me".....says the person with three posts to his credit....
I wouldn't take one point guard in the league over Chris...period....a bunch of haters just infiltrating our board lately...sickening

Chris will make a believer out of all these haters ... STAY FOCUSED CW - we're behind you .. also .. Markel Starks is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy under-rated for the 2010 class and is a top 10 PG as well .. at the end of the day these rankings don't mean much and I'm excited for both our recruits to get to the Hilltop and prove this theory right .. NO disrespect intended - But I'm tired of all the negativity around here lately .. THE HOYAS WILL BE FINE!

Chris Wright is a damn good player. By the end of this season the ones questioning this kid are really going to look like idiots.

Affirm the positives of Wright, he is going to be a beast by the time the BE season rolls around.

Nobody on the team plays harder than Chris Wright, and he's very talented. Also, if you haven't seen Starks play, trust me, you will love him. We're fine at the point.

Chris Wright is going to be fine, he has great talent and passion every night. I am looking forward to him making the haters look like fools. CW will be great this season.

Starks and Wright are in the same mold. Both have pretty decent bodies for guards, but Starks may be as quick and may have better handle than Wright IMO.

CW is going to be fine. I think we all need to take a deep breath for the whole team, we are THREE games into the season. Does anyone remember when we lost to ODU, and started the season 4-3, all the while wondering whether Jeff Green was really ever going to become a halfway decent player? Anyone remember how that season ended?

Jeff Green was Big East Newcomer of Year with Rudy Gay--so I think the signs were there. Now if you want to say we wondered if Jeff was going to be more assertive and the star he had to be for team to win--then you are onto something.

Jeff was Big East Newcomer of the Year as a Freshman, but his sophmore season did not meet our expectations. The Final Four year was Jeff's junior year, and although there were signs of greatness, it was still unclear whether he would put it together to be the leader of the team we all knew he could be. Chris is in much the same boat, although because of injuries he did not have the chance for a big freshman year. But now as a junior we expect it all to come together for him. I'm not promising he is going to be a star, all I am saying is that it is really early, so we should not be giving up on anyone just yet. I still think there are great things to come for Chris, so I think we all need to stop panicking and remember that there is a lot of basketball still to be played.

From the first minute I saw CW 2 years ago it was very clear to me that he was special. This kid, along with Jason and Austin will handle the backcourt duties as well as any threesome in the country. Chris will have a breakout year starting tomorrow. This thread is really absurd.

Chris will have a breakout year starting tomorrow. From your keyboard to Chris's ears. In the two games since that thread, here's his line Averages: 16 points 2.5 rebounds 3.5 assists 2.0 turnovers 1.0 steals 50% from the floor, including 4-9 (44%) from 3 100% (4-4) from the line 1.75 A/TO ratio I could handle the rest of the season with an average stat line like that.
