CW really was a leader last night. Loved the way he asserted himself and kept us going in each half when it seemed like Mount was getting closer. Someone in another thread said he has been working on his jumper mechanics, and it showed last night. I held my breath before every 3 he took, but it looks like he is getting it worked out. (and for the record, the missus said she knew they were all going in ) Keep it up Chris!

Not to take the focus away from Chris, whom I love as our PG, but I have refereed HS games at National tournaments/Summer Camps where several of the guys mentioned in the SLAM article were playing. My input, which is only worth $.0125, is that the writer surely knows his stuff. Cooney is scary good and is a 2011 grad. I had him in a tourney when he was in 7th Grade (Sanford is a private school w/ Middle & HS kids), and noone could guard his jumpshot. Cory Joseph is good, but the kicker from the article linked above is that Joe Jackson is POINT BLANK the best HS PG I've seen since....................Chris Wright. Actually, they are quite similar in ballhandling, decision-making, jumpshooting, rebounding, passing, & toughness. I LOVE #4 for the 09-10 Hoyas!

Let's let the season play out, but I have a hard time calling out a guy who's averaging 5 assists and .5 turnovers a game. If he keeps that ratio, I'm calling him a point.
He was really good against UConn. Rock solid, and a very good decision maker.

I did not "call out" Scheyer as a bad player/decision maker. He is certainly good at both & a terrific shooter. Hell, he was ACC Player of the Week last week. My point is that he is not there Point Guard. Nolan Smith is their PG.
