Can someone set me straight on this board. We need an impact player out of this class correct? Who are the two or three players that can lead us to a final four?

Impact guys who we have a realistic shot at: Daniel Ochefu and Kyle Anderson. And it depends how long they stay in college if you want them to lead us to a final four.

When typically would talent like this commit to a college? Before the summer? Thanks for the help!

I don't think Kyle will commit until the fall (but I hope I'm wrong and he commits earlier to us - we need LOTS of fresh talent).

Ochefu could commit next week--word was he wanted to commit Mid March--and last time I checked-next week fits the description.
Anderson will commit before his SR season--that's all he's said about it.

here is the name of a recruit who might be under the radar. Zack McMillan (spelling?) is a 6'8" shooting guard/forward in Southern California. As a freshman and soph, he tore up a lower division in CIF while playing for a small private Christiian school. He was encouraged by his club/AAU coach to transfer to Westchester High School, traditionally one of the powerhouses in Division One. He did so and was starting pre-season when the prior school lodged a protest. Because the kid wouldn't lie about why he transferred-- and because the small Christian school was Editeded he was stolen from them-- Zack was forced to sit out this past season. He is probably classified as a senior in high school, althogu he would have 2 years left. His grades are excellent, and because of this screw-up, I don't think he is highly recruited yet. Maybe someone on this board can get word to JTIII or the staff to take a look at him.

Hmmm, 6'8 shooting guard/forward from SoCal...sounds familiar. Reminds me of someone that just entered the draft OUT OF NOWHERE

Bowman and cook went to westchester if I am not mistaken. In any case, we can pretty much bet that we will have at least 3 new incoming recruits for 2012 given what we've learned about Hollis. We need two guards and a power center.

As far as I can tell, these are the guys that the Hoyas staff is really focused on. I’ve split the recruits up by position and ordered them by likelihood that they will end up at Georgetown (total guesses). I am working under the assumption that we will have four scholarships to give out in 2012 (don’t think Hollis Thompson will be back for senior year, and don’t think Brandon Bolden has fully secured his scholarship). The four that I think will ultimately end up Hoyas: Semaj Christon, D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, Arnaud Adala-Moto, and Jerami Grant.
Recruit Depth Chart:
PG: Semaj Christon, James Robinson
SG: D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera, Gabe York, Torian Graham, Omar Calhoun, Darrick Wood, Andrew White
SF: Arnaud Adala-Moto, Jerami Grant, Kyle Anderson, Devonta Pollard, T.J. Warren, Twymond Howard
PF: Brandon Bolden, Amile Jefferson, Stefan Jankovic
C: Gavin Ware, Tony Parker, Andre Drummond

i think that's too many guards/wings. we need to land at least one of those centers. I definitely agree with the 4 scholarships beign up for grab, but I'd prefer us only taking 3 in this class. So we have enough for 13. If we were to use hollis' scholarship in 12 then we'd only for sure have 1 for 13. Sure there's probably be a transfer or 2. but I'd prefer to have around 3 for '13 rather than 1 or 2.

That makes him a 2012 right? If anything, I think that increases our interest. We're unlikely to bring in another frosh this year because that would give us Otto, Greg, Jabril, Aaron, Tyler, Mikael and Christon in the same class.

In fact it seemed like we were just sort of passively recruiting him, not making him a priority. We could still turn up the heat but I'd be surprised if he were a Hoya. Moto, not sure about either. He's definitely a player and he's local but not sure how hard we've been on him. Christon + DSR I could believe though (though I like York best of the bunch). My guess would be something like Semaj, DSR, Bolden and some other big guy that we're not yet aware of. Of course, it's real early for this. At this time last year I don't think anybody on this board knew who Otto Porter was. Or Greg Whittington. Or even Jabril Trawick. And nobody thought we'd be anywhere near Tyler Adams. So, things will change as time goes on.

I think he's referring to Christon's sister.
