I just got through looking at the tapes of the 2008 UConn, Syracuse(Hoya home game) and West Virginia games and daytona I am psyched about next year too. When you see those games again you know that last year was an aberation and not norm or the future. What struck me most was the announcers talking about the Princeton offense and what a pleasure it was to watch it run by athletes who could do other things. The second thing that struck me was how much time PE2 subbbed for Summers in those games. In crunch time it was PE2 in the game rather than Summers. Also, I had forgotten how great a passer PE2 is. In the WV game alone, he had 3 back door passes for assists, all off the dribble. I think this is more than Summers had all this year. The 3rd thing that struck me was the amount of time Rivers got as a defensive stopper. The Syracuse game stands out because in crunch time he shut down Rivers from getting into the lane. contrast that to this year when Rivers got in the lane whenever he wanted. The 4th thing that struck me was how much better chemistry Sapp and Wallace had together than Sapp and Wright and Wallaces deadliness from behind the arc. The bottom line is that the 2008 team was better because they were more seasoned having played together for 2 years and while not trying to knock Summers, he just did not make up for what the Hoyas lost in defense, rebounding and passing with the graduation of PE2. This team will be better offensively(Monroe,Wright,Freeman and Hollis), defensively(Monroe, Simms and Clark). The only question is will they be better at rebounding? The maturation of Henry and Hollis and added lower body strength of Monroe will determine that. Go 2010 Hoyas.

I know Jeremiah was a poor scorer but didn't know he defended himself.

I had always suspected that when Rivers came in that we were playing 4 on 6 on offense. Thanks for the confirmation.

So with Sanford coming on board, our lineup looks like...
Monroe --> Vaughn Sims --> ?? Thompson --> Nikita Freeman --> Sanford Wright --> Clark
These aren't direct substitutions, but as far as lineups go it makes sense. Still missing that one big.

I think there may be another big. However, rarely do teams actually have a ten man rotation. I expect something more like this:
PF/C rotation: Mornoe/Sims/Vaughn/Recruit with Nikita helping at PF if necessary
SF rotation: Thompson/Mescheriakov/Freeman
Guard rotation: Wright/Freeman/Clark/Sanford
If Sanford's handle proves to be better than Clark's, I expect him to be out there for every minute that Chris isn't.

Snag Latavious and we're good to go Agree with that. Also, one nice thing about getting a recruit this late in the "game", is that we can plug him into the projected rotation right away for next year. We don't have to wait two years to see him play! Go Hoyas.
