Okay I've been sucked back in. Assuming wins in the next two they've got 17 for the season. How many Big East wins does it take to get a bid? A great win, it shouldn't feel this good but it really does.

The defense came up big time today. Guess we know what JTIII has been stressing in practice. Great win, Hoyas.

We had 25 turnovers but 'Nova had 20. Why?
Because the actual big man rotation (as the much maligned Len Elmore pointed out) was able to disrupt the 'Nova offense. If you get Greg out on the perimeter guarding someone he is more effective. You can only do that with another big in the game. Zero points and 2 game balls for Vaughn and Sims.
Great win! Let's continue to play big. We're two games away from being back in the discussion for the tournament. Use this and go forward.

I hate teams that make me alcoholic. Blasphemer. Alcohol is the only thing that has helped much of this season! Sorry, I've been late to the Legend of Drunken Master, though I suspect repeated rejections of the vice on my part are responsible for the latest slide.

Anyone know what our RPI is after today's win?

Nova made the NCAA with 20-12 last year. If we can somehow win the last two games and win 3 in the Big East Tourney, that puts us at 20-13. With our strength of schedule, I'm pretty confident we get in. Not at 19-13 though...

great win. two wins to close out indeed gets us in the conversation, but I really think we need two wins in the BE tournament as well

I think 2 wins in the BET would do it also. Winning 5 out of your last 6 with wins against top 5 UConn and Memphis, plus wins against Nova and Cuse makes for a solid bubble resume.
Going big made us a good defensive team today.

this means nothing if we lay an egg against st. johns. hopefully, the guys gain a little more confidence from this win and somehow learn how to hold onto the ball within the next couple days.

Way to gut it out, fellas. Hard-fought, intensely physical game on the road and they found a way to come out with a huge win.
Take out the Johnnies on Tuesday ...

Great to win. Nice to face a team that just refused to let us hand them the game. 'Cause, we sure as hell tried. Good defensive effort, though.
Congratulations, Hoyas! Keep 'em coming.

2 wins + 1 win in BET= 80%
2 wins + 2 wins in BET= 100%

The number of wins needed in the Big East tournament is dependent on how the other bubble teams fare over the next two weeks. Teams like UMD, Penn St. Cincy, Providence, Florida, Oklahoma St. etc. will help decide how many wins the Hoyas need to post in the BET.
This is all assuming that the Hoyas beat SJU and Depaul.

We gotta hope we can be the Johnnies and Depaul first. Clean up the TOs and sloppy play a LOT will help that. Anyone have the BET seed projection link? I think a WVU site does it every year. It will be interesting to see because if we slide into the BET 8-10 as a 9/10/11 seed, we could be looking at an easy game first and then maybe Cuse (awesome) or Provy or even Cincy in the second round.
Of course, beat SJU first.
