Disappointing loss that could have been a win with some hit FTs in OT.
Keep it in bounds or posts will be deleted.

We're in a lot of trouble. That much is clear. I believe that 8-10 would be enough, but can we get there? I'm really not sure.

NOT GOING INTO MONROE OR HAVING HIM TOUCH THE BALL IS CRIMINAL.. WRIGHT CAN SIT WITH SAPP FOR THE NEXT GAME.

Ok. Can we also agree JTII is likely awful at drawing up plays after timeouts? I mean this is not a one, two, three.... keep going.... time thing.

Not much to say. A timeout called for what. That play? Unbelievable. This is the lack of a GOOD pg. That ball MUST go inside with that much time left. CW held onto that ball for no reason other than try to do this himself, which was not going to happen. Terrible loss and you lost Sapp for the season.

That last "shot" was revolting. What the hell was Chris doing holding the ball that long? Disgusting loss. Season is over as far as I am concerned.

I think Austin needs to be benched in those late-game situtations. It's not his fault, but it seems that is the only remedy for us putting up airballs to win the game.

Let's be fair... he was thrown the ball while covered with about 4 seconds left, what the hell else could he do?

I love Georgetown Basketball but I DESPISE this year's team. They play stupid basketball, have no mental/physical toughness, and they just shrivel at sight of a team that will play them physical.
Story of the game/season and it's OVER for this group. When going gets tough--this group HIDES.

Not a single FGM in OT, by either team. I know, it's part of the game, but I hate to see FTAs decide the game, any game, even when the Hoyas win. That said, you still have to make 'em when you get 'em, and Monroe's misses from the stripe in the extra session proved costly.

I am sorry, you people WANTED the ball to go inside to Monroe? He cost us the game in overtime, you can't miss three freethrows like that. Or miss as many layups as he did. Or force it up and get blocked as many times as he did. You can point to the last play all you want, but it wouldn't have come to that if it weren't for plays like that.

I really don't think the players should take most of the blame. JT3 calls the shots. He sits some and play others at the worst moments.

Can DaJuan leave yet?
He and Austin bring NOTHING to the table if they aren't scoring.
Not in favor of benching Jessie, AT ALL.

It's time to start preparing the team for next season. More minutes for those who have not had a chance. Summers has totally regressed. I don't have to say anything about Sapp. So sad.

3 critical plays in my mind: 1) dajuan can't catch ball on open back door cut - probably would have given us the win in regulation
2) the travel call: are you serious with that call? It was nowhere close to a travel. I really am at a loss to explain why that call was made.
3) Greg gets mugged going up: gates gets all arm - no call.
I'm not pinning this loss on the refs but you can't say that those call don't make a difference in a 2pt overtime loss.

Yep, our NCAA chances are pretty much nil at this point. I think we're looking at 7-11, and that's optimistic.
This team just has no poise in tense situations, and they don't do any of the little things that can help a team win. It's not really worth getting worked up about anymore - this year just didn't work out. We need to focus on the freshmen and sophomores and get ready for next season - Summers is going to leave and Sapp is now a non-entity.
Just a really disappointing season - talk about tough payback for a couple of charmed seasons the last two. I just hope this group shows some heart and keeps playing hard down the stretch.

I too am disappointed, but I saw a LOT of positives. Bench was productive. Team recovered from awful start. Nikita a factor on Offense. Team took it to OT. Greg gave Max effort, but missed OT FTs.
I am not giving up on this team. They looked much better than vs. Seton hall, losing to WVU. Cincy is better than we give them credit for.
JT3 needs to keep making progress, keep the team with him, don't give up on these guys.

We should blame nobody but ourselves for the losss...but that non-call on Monroe when he was shooting was outrageous.
