Let's make sure we lay a beating on Syracuse.

Funny how Pitt fans are whining about timely scheduling when they get that same benefit this Saturday.
LOL at the WVU/SU responses. Luckily, they both won't have to wait long to feel the pain we're about to unleash.

Let's lay off the 'inbred hillbillies' and similar comments. Try to have more class than some of those other places. If you don't like comments like 'Thugtown' you shouldn't be making similar derogatory comments here.

Love the posts on the Duke message board - Monroe is not that good and their current centers are playing just as well as Greg is. www.dukebasketballreport.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13433"He had a good game- mainly because he hit his first two 3's of the season and had a few nice hooks over the UConn big man. He also had some nice assists. Three rebounds, however, is not exactly dominating. He is still a bit raw and not very physical. Duke is getting a lot out of its center position this year. Having Monroe would not really change much- except a bit more depth."

a large majority of uconn undergrads live in CT so them being home for the holidays is no problem. also there are TONS of uconn fans in CT. that place had the opportunity to be rocking but we quieted it for most of the night.
and who is greg malone?

Very interesting comments which show some of the objectivity of some and the somewhat inane comments of others. Must the Cuse give us MORE reasons to hate them and wish them well? It is hard to believe that cuse fan had his TV set on the wright channel last night. Did he not see the game at all? Was he in his dorm room practicing hitting his microphone in game preparation? Ah such a sweet night when two run of the mill teams go at it in a pathetic game of also rans. Go Hoyas , i did think you played fairly well, but that is just one man's humble opinion.

That idiot always calls Georgetown "Thugtown"...<shrugs> they are still salty about Pat's epic SWAT at the end of the game in Morgantown last year. oh well...they will have another opportunity to get beat down again quite soon. And he regularly gets called out by other posers. For example: " Looks like this punk wants banned again like he did last time when he started throwing racist slurs about Gtown and talking badly about the other teams in the BE.Calling a team Thugtown shows just how dumb you are!!! I hope how soon you get banned again b/c you are'nt on here to talk about sports. The only thing you are on here for is to try and get attention and talk down to everybody else.Go to bed its past your bed time!!"

Best quote of them all is from ND's (even though their message board is hell on earth), regarding ESPN showing contrast programming:
"You go from watching Georgetown pinpoint execution to Memphis' 'One on One' style of basketball. Memphis is currently 1-13 from the field and so far I haven't been able to figure out what they're trying to do on the offensive end except take their man off the dribble."
Louisville has remarkably intelligent comments, though they're remarkably insular.
The best, though, is Providence. They call out GU's weaknesses (lack of depth) early, call out others who call UConn undisciplined, and they're realistic in a smiling way:
""Get used to two months of unexpected results just like the season opener Monday night in Hartford, Conn., where Georgetown led from start to finish against No. 2 UConn. The reason is that nothing will go as planned when the projected top 12 teams in this league get together, regardless of venue."
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance."

Yeah, and that was actually just, um, salt in the wound, because their love affair with Pat began the year before after the infamous "grabby" incident. Some of their message board guys haven't been able to let go ever since. And lic, congratulations. That was a great post--actually one of the funnier and more sly ones I've ever read on HT. That kind of satire would be a much better trademark for you than the normal gibberish. The only problem with the post was that I was more and more fearful to read each progressive sentence, thinking that the next sentence would undoubtedly slip into your normal idiom, ruining the entire post. Bravo for so bravely dipping your toes into the waters of literacy.

Kc, thanks for taking the time to compile those threads. Since Syracuse's comment is to be expected, I like Pitt's highlighted comment the best. Way to look ahead at your schedule...
