I have been watching Kendall Marshall play for the last two years. I saw almost every single one of his games at O'Connell last season. The kid is good. He has a great stroke and is the best passer I have ever seen in the High School level. Some of his length of the court passes were unbelieveable. That said, right now I think he lacks the quickness to be a very good PG in college. Like someone mentioned before, he developed a lot quicker than some kids, and now some of those kids are passing him up. Rivals orginally had him ranked in the top 10 in his class, but since has fallen to outside the top 10. Kendall is never going to be a great scorer, but with the right weapons, and improved quickness, he could be very good at UNC because his passing is bar none.

Whispers: Leaders emerge for 2010 five-star? Jerry Meyer Rivals.com Basketball Recruiting Analyst
Roscoe Smith, a 2010 five-star prospect, had a couple of important visitors at his games last week. Georgetown coach John Thompson III watched Smith put up 21 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks on Tuesday, and North Carolina coach Roy Williams watched the wiry forward score 18 points, grab 14 rebounds and block six shots on Friday.
UNC hasn't yet extended an offer to Roscoe Smith. Smith has a number of schools interested in him, but he has not officially narrowed down his school list. The strongest mutual interest between Smith and the schools appears to be from Georgetown and North Carolina, although UNC has not yet offered a scholarship. Ames, Iowa, forward Harrison Barnes is the top recruiting priority for the Tar Heels in the 2010 class

Seems like a pretty succinct and fair assessment of where things stand by Meyer. 7 pages of discussion, but that more or less says it all.
Anybody know if we'll have Roscoe in for a game this year? Likely a weekend game, Marquette maybe?

Roscoe hasn't decided. We've offered and Roy hasn't. That part doesn't sound so good. We want kids like Starks...make the offer and bang, they commit. Of course, all will be forgiven when Roscoe signs his GU LOI!!

For those of you who want to see him,Roscoe plays his 4A semifinal game Thurday.9pm at the Comcast Center! I will be there watching o see what the hype is all about. I saw him last year and was disappointed but he really blew up this summer and must be living up to his potential.

Travis Mckie- 2010 wing, mike gbinije/pj hairston/james mcadoo- 2011--all were behind UNC bench for Duke game. Significant for Roscoe's recruitment b/c UNC is looking at harrison barnes, roscoe, travis mckie, and casey prather for 2010 schollie--they have 1 left and still do not have to use it on 2010 player.

I think they target Mike and McAdoo and don't commit to '10. Imo

hairston sounds like a tar heel too. i believe UNC has 3 schollies to play with-- they could save all 3 for 2011.

Watch Roscoe tonight. A little disappointed. He is very athletic but do the little things to help his team win. He has a lot of potential and seems like a good kid. Ill take him but I doubt he's top 15 in the country. Settles too much, suspect handle, bad hands. Reminds me of Dajuan.
