Wow!!! 29 pts, assists, rebounds, blocks, a student-athlete, and still a junior! Perfect fit for GU.

I assume no one has a prem membership to the new Md board? They have an article on there titled "inside scoop on Roscoe's recruitment"

Unless LSU has deep pockets to give Roscoe I am not worried about them.

Unless LSU has deep pockets to give Roscoe I am not worried about them. That's a big "unless." We have to count on parents and high school coaches to look past baloney.

LSU? Ridiculous.
The Hoyas are winning games, winning regular season races, knocking off giants, going deep into the post season, producing first round draft picks, putting out classy ambassadors on the court, teaching guys how to play "the right way" and ensuring that their student athletes get a fantastic education while they are here. You would think that would be enough to convince a guy like Roscoe. But teams like Memphis appear to have more luck with the top level recruits. Its a joke.

MCI,
Agree with what you said. However, a lot of recruits like Memphis because of the type of offense they run. I think that this year the perception of our offense will change. That it won't be boring and that we can push the ball when appropriate then run a half court offense when needed as well. I think this, along with the things you mentioned, will alter how others view Gtown and get some looks by some top level recruits which would have been turned off by us previously.

i would be shocked if roscoe ended up at LSU. has LSU ever gotten a kid from baltimore? Heck the could not even keep Greg Monroe.

The one thing we'll never really do is have a 20 point scorer because of the balance of our offense. This is true of some programs, but it is more pronounced with us. That is the only thing I see. But when a guy who comes off your bench as a senior gets drafted, that says something.

But when a guy who comes off your bench as a senior gets drafted, that says something. That's it! If the potential recruits watched the game last night, and I'm sure they did, and didn't see themselves being a part of that beautiful execution and domination, then they should go somewhere else.

Unless LSU has deep pockets to give Roscoe I am not worried about them. Trent Johnson is the new coach at LSU, having moved there from Stanford. He has a stellar reputation as does Stanford. No funny business in recruiting. Just as it was predictable that Indiana would run into trouble when they brought in Kelvin Sampson, a guy with a proven record of NCAA infractions, the same principle applies in the opposite way. Bringing in a stand up guy like Johnson, you can be sure LSU won't be playing any games with recruiting. And... no way Roscoe Smith goes there either.

I've been thinking the same thing....everyone watched that game last night. I know we've dicussed at length how a single loss shouldn't impact recruiting (ie Davidson), but can a win like yesterday's help recruiting? Just wanted to get some thoughts.

Did you see all the kids that were at the game? It definitely helps. Many of these kids know each other and with the advent of text messaging, many keep in touch all over the country. The text probably said something like: "Man, G'town beat the sh*%! out of UConn. They were runnin' em. I could see playin' with them."
