kendrick is the best player in the state of Georgia in the 2010 class. the ATL area is second to only the DC area as far as prep hoops talent, so Kendrick obviously can play. Also he wants to be a Lawyer, so Gtown is perfect for him. He will then make a good hoyatalk poster once he graduates from Gtown law school. ;D Send Markel to HotLanta for a little recruiting!

is it conceivable that kendrick or hollis can play the 2 guard spot? are their handles good enough for that or no?

Kendrick supposedly can play minutes at the point position.

I'm worried about Kendrick having so many offers. It seems like the kids we tend to get have like only 2 or 3 major schools hard after them, with the exception being Greg.

is he more of a 2 or a 3? if, and i mean if, he and one of smith/barton become hoyas, can those 2 co exist on the court as the same time? are they interchangeable?

sounds to me and thanks RDF for clearing it up that Kendrick will be a good 2 guard...a lineup with him and roscoe and hollis oh my.......and yes anything like Turner would be great....he is a BEAST
In regards to a ton of schools after him it sounded like he liked us a lot at midnight madness....it also doesn't hurt that him and Markel are friends. We've offered and we got in earlier than a lot of the schools that have come on to the scene as late....hopefully another added bonus.
I hope that we pick up roscoe and jelan for the remaining '10 spots personally...

hoyasarehungry, I wasn't quoting you, I was quoting harwood, whose post now seems to have mysteriously disappeared. Your post was clear. He may have meant the same thing, but that's not how it came out.

More seriously, didn't Tonydeals or someone else indicate that Kendrick was thrown off of his high school team, and that we might have lost interest? I thought it was both Kendrick and Tahj Tate.

Talked to a guy that's just worked out Jalen last week and he told me he is real similar to Barton but thicker. Also that he is so smooth and can play 1,2, or 3. People down there compare him to Tmac. He said he is down there dominating. He said Jalen is wide open and is in no rush to commit. I told him to put Gtown in his head. From what he was saying along with what the board has been saying I hope we get him and get him soon.

Interesting article by Telep on Kendrick today. Says he's got 29 offers but doesn't want to talk about which schools he's highest on. He's unofficially visited Miami and Georgetown.
Key to the article is his being a jack-of-all-trades player, point forward type. This should be a good fit with Jeff Green's experience. Hoping the coaching staff can sell Kendrick on being the next JG.
Sounds like he's in absolutely no rush to make a college decision, leaving the recruiting stuff to his dad and AAU coach for now.
Does anybody know what they Hoyas' relationship is with Kendrick's AAU coach?

At only 6'6, I can't see him being the next JG, but he can be versatile. Anyone else get the feeling III wants everyone on the team between 6'6 and 6'10? Can you imagine the matchup problems with a Kendrick, Hollis, Roscoe/Odom, Nate, Henry? All can handle, pass and shoot. I know Markel is smaller, but you can't pass up a kid with his skills to run your squad.

This is the guy that I want. I've heard comparsions of him to guys like Tracy Mcgrady(cause of his ability to shoot off the bounce on the pull up) Penny Hardaway(cause he is a tall PG who has a gift for scoring but will share the ball) Steve Smith(for the craftiness to his game, and yet another guy who orginally was a tall PG who could score...and used to be my favorite player) If he is any think like 75% of those players, he is ridiculously talented and should be our #1 priority!!!
