And Grokamok was apparently "on fire."

Don't recruiting violations effect what happened on the court by giving teams players they wouldn't have normally had?
Also doesn't "prestige" imply some level of integrity? This list should be called: "what team performed the acording to this scoring system"

they seem to be giving points for #1 seeds despite not listing it in their grading rubric. They're listing it under positives for programs so they must be giving points for it. That's the only thing i can think of to throw the numbers off.

Seems like the top 10 will include, in no particular order (other than to note the Big East has 3 teams):
UCon Cuse Georgetown UNC Duke Kentucky Kansas UCLA Arizona UNLV

Based on reading Other boards and my own speculation. I believe it looks something like this: Duke Kansas UNC Kentucky Arizona Uconn UCLA Syracuse Georgetown UNLV

Louks's comment on the chat about UNLV seemed to indicate that their ranking might be surprising. Although they may not have been a power since the mid-90s, he indicated that they weren't as bad as you might think. Considering that this was in response to a guess that UNLV would be slotted in at 8 or 9, I took it to mean that they will be even higher than that. I think we will be #10.

Based on reading Other boards and my own speculation. I believe it looks something like this: Duke Kansas UNC Kentucky Arizona Uconn UCLA Syracuse Georgetown UNLV Georgetown still in the top 10 despite the cut-off date of the '84/'85 season, and the serious slump from '97-'04? ... That is remarkable. It is a testament to the program Pops built, that it still had enough momentum to carry it even though his interest and work ethic waned. it is also a testament to the meteoric speed (thought Lic might like that "meteor reference ) at which JT3 has re-established GU Hoops. AND, to the fantastic class of '08 -- including Jeff.

I was very surprised at how well we fared in this. It's really impressive the despite the cut off date we're still one of the top 10 programs. I think we often take for granted how good we have it. The down esherick years are the norm for a lot of programs. We are truly blessed with an incredible program. In this what have you done for me lately culture people often forget how good we've been due to the esherick years. We are damn impressive!

UNLV did have the good fortune to pick up one high flying transfer from us: (reminds me so much of his dunk on Eddie Griffin... except there was no charge on that one)

Didn't Anthony Jones also transfer to UNLV?

Didn't Anthony Jones also transfer to UNLV? That would be correct... and he was drafted, but only played a couple of years in the League. Amazing talent though. Same recruiting class as Patrick, Bill Martin, Ralph Dalton

this list is completely bankrupt, we are talking about a 24 year span and UNLV missed the tourny for 15 straight years during that span yet they are top 10? thats beyond ridiculous and i was a big UNLV fan back in the day but that invalidates this entire list in my view. one of the top ten programs misses the tourny more than 60% of the time? come on.
