[ Or we could just get the linebacker-like Austin to box out. He was a freshman so it can be taught. Dajuan was the best defensive rebounder on the team. He is not a liability on the glass. If Austin works on rebounding, all this concern goes away. Wright is a far better rebounder than Wallace and Roy was a good, but not great rebounder, so his production can be replaced up front. And there are no guarantees two bigs=more boards. Exhibit A: Vernon Macklin. I think it's better to work with Austin in the offseason than to assume he just can't board. He's getting tons of minutes either way and he can't be the worst rebounder on the team regardless of where he plays. The whole team -- and coaching staff -- needs to work on boxing out and hitting the boards, and generally being much more aggressive.... especially on our defensive glass. And now we have some options. If we are getting killed on the boards, we've got some guys to bring it to deal with it. Get Alonzo in this summer to knock these kids around and teach them something about boards and about intensity! Somehow, I think this will get solved.

Thanks for the link to the article. Did anyone else read the excerpt below and think that it came directly from JT3 to Barker? Vaughn boasts excellent shooting range and a 7-3 wingspan but needs to improve his post game and commit himself to engaging in a bit more banging in the paint. His ACC critics said he spent too much time last season floating around the 3-point arc for a player with his imposing frame. No one bangs in the ACC. Critics do not recognize it. But, he better be willing if he wants to succeed, and get PT, in the BE. Let's look forward to the Kenner reports on it.

Thanks KC.
Count me in the camp of letting Chris prove himself before awarding him all conference status (or even starting five status). We all get very excited based on highschool stats and limited NCAA play, but it's a rare player that truly lives up to the hype. I'm with blueandgray...all we can do is hope.

Nothing makes a day automatically turn better than listening to (reading) the outrage of Syracuse and/or 'Nova fans at a slice of Georgetown good fortune. Thanks, KC. ;D (I must admit, there were more sane voices than I expected, though, especially on the Cuse board)

I found it impossible to follow with such horrible grammar and no iota of proofreading. If i was an English teacher my head would have exploded.
