Nice responses. It is crazy how this terrible call, as I am sure you all admit it was, is viewed as a sure fire loss for you guys gifted into a win.
Let's hope the players decide this game on the court and not have the refs blow the whistle because they want to get home early, like last time.
You guys are a great team at finishing the deal in close games. Your coach keeps his cool, he stays poised, the players stick to the game plan. At no time was that more apparent than the GTown/UNC game last year.

I bet you're on you're going back to some Nova board and bragging about the crap you're trying to start over here, aren't you, you big Edited. What a big man. You still haven't answered the question about which specific members of the "national media" are saying Georgetown will be dropped because of Corey Stokes being a dumbass and fouling Wallace. Maybe you're still bitter about those great refs from the UNC-Nova game in the tourney a few years back. I'll raise up a beer to that game when i'm eating dinner tonight. ;D So, do you think it will be Jesse Sapp or Jonathan Wallace who kills your chances with a late shot ala Ben Gordon in the 2002 BE tourney?

I do believe the Committee* will look at the call when extending invitations and move 'Nova up a seed line or two as a result.

Wow, this is really ridiculous. Talk about not being able to move on.
Here's the deal. The first GU/VU game was one of the worst officiated games in the history of the Big East. The last in a series of crappy calls (most of which benefitted VU) happened to benefit GU. Get over it and stop being a baby.
I hearby nominate ncaaball2 for the award for being responsible for the closure of the most threads on this board. I don't know that anyone else is even close.

Imagine if the ref hadn't called the foul, had called out of bounds on Wallace, Nova had gotten the ball and hit a game winning shot. The media would be howling the other way!

I am tired of the talking heads. They have no other theme to discuss re: GU so this is their solution. They do not have to be right they just have to spew forth enough dribble to keep their jobs. Oh wait, I just described 95% of the media as a whole. Enjoy the upcoming recession brought to you by CNN and CNBC!

I concur. The good news (aside from the more obvious good news) is that we will now hear nothing from ncaaball2 for months. Let him crawl back into his shell.

Turning the subject from ncaaball to another useless person, it appears, according to Ratboy, that Pitt is now the favorite to win the Big East tournament. (someone should have Gottlieb talk to a Pitt fan first though; Pitt's past performances against Marquette can best be described as "strugg-a-ling."; I think the Flu breezes by the Panthers tonight, unfortunately)
