I don't sell my tickets to the enemy, but I don't see anything wrong with it. You should all suck it up. Capitalism is king.
I'll leave you all with the words of the current chair of economics at Harvard University and presumed next in line for the Fed, Akon
Cos I'mma tell you like you told me Cash rules everything around me Singin' dollar dollar bill yall(dollar, dollar bill yall) Singin' dollar dollar bill yall(dollar, dollar bill yall) Cos I'mma tell you like you told me Cash rules everything around me Singin' dollar dollar bill yall(dollar, dollar bill yall) Singin' dollar dollar bill yall(dollar, dollar bill yall)

Just to clarify, itsa good thing when WE go on the road and take over the RAC/MSG, right? Yes. Just because we have the goal of taking over other stadiums does not mean that we must reciprocate and let others take over our stadium or even enter our specifically ALUMNI and STUDENT season ticket sections. Keep them out of there. The best way to stop this is public humiliation. Call people out on this board by section, row, and seat if they sell to opposing fans. I haven't decided yet how much razzing will be in order when these "fans" decide to show up at a game, but I'm certain at least a few of the fans in my general area will make some comments.

Not to beat a dead horse, (or fluffy white husky) but I couldn't agree more with Jahidi and other out of towners who like I do try to get to the booth once or twice a year and get stuck with Stub Hub or Ebay tix in the upper bowl. Seeing some clown on ESPN with a Ucon #4 jersey on 10 rows behind our bench makes me sick. I get to one game a year with my wife and usually end up upstairs for outrageous prices. No Orange anywhere-especially downstairs ! I would be glad to pay more for good Louisville seats-sell them to us, not the enemy !

Personally, as long as they're quiet, I don't think it's a sin to bring a friend. Someone in my section is bringing a 'Cuse alum to the next game. She knows not to cheer for them, and if she does anything more than clap softly, I'd be happy to shut her up. But at the end of the day, a few hours good time at a sporting event with a close friend means more to me than what colors that person is wearing. I wouldn't make a habit of it, or bring in some kind of crowd, or sell a block of tickets knowingly to other fans. But it's different with friends.

Can someone check on 007? I think he may have had an aneurysm when he read this.

Money makes the world go round people!!! A lot of seat are not owned by people, but big faceless corporations and lobbists. Those companies use the seats to shmooze clients or give away to employees. That is why the other team's fans are in the lower bowl.
You want to fix the problem?? Get yourself a large company and buy the seats. Done and done. Now stop bitching about the crowd and get back to talking about how great Roy is.

I will challenge the notion that those wise words came from Akon. The credit should actually go to my man Wyclef Jean! Don't make me post my YouTube video again!

This thread is nonsense. Tell me you've never gone to a game where you are the Away team and cheered for your team? I've been to many and had stuff said to me, thrown at me, and basically close to fights, but its all good. Its called being a fan. Everyone has a right to yell for their team and if the guy next to you doesn't like it, oh well. You guys need to suck it up and buy out the seats if you don't want to see an opposing fan next to you.

I don't doubt the musical genius of Wyclef Jean, but I do belive the chorus is done by Akon.
None the less all modern music is actually made by a supercomputer in the basement of the Apple headquarders nicknamed "Michael D" for Musically Intellegent Computer for Home Audio and Electronic Listening Devices

At the GU-Memphis game, I couldn't see another Georgetown fan. It helped to make the atmosphere massively intimidating, and that atmosphere helps the team home win games. Every person who passes season tickets to people who won't be rooting for Georgetown is helping the other team. So, basically, you're either with us, or you're with the Orange.

Ah, but Akon sings the aforementioned lyrics...judges??? The whole thing stinks, but for as many times as we have successfully "invaded" other arenas, we can't quite complain. Your worst descriptions could be re-written, "Hoya Blue in Norfolk earlier this year"... Keeping Orange outside of the Verizon Center is nice, but not the biggest issue--formal legislation keeping them on the reservation in upstate NY is the solution. Write your Congressional reps today!

Wyclef has guitar and the first verse. At about 1:45, the chorus comes in w/ Akon (who also has second verse).
Third verse, I don't think sporting a Georgetown hat in this one, is Lil Wayne.

I think the real issue is who gave Ray Allen and Caron Butler tickets? I mean they were just sitting there right up against OUR court!

I am all in favor of trying to sell extra tix to other Hoyas fans, but it's not as simple as that. I know two young alumni that sold tickets to the UCONN game because they were going out of town. One pair of tickets was in section 119 and sold for $125 each and one pair was in 121 and sold for $225 each. This was on stubhub, so you don't know if it was a Georgetown fan or not. When you can sell a ticket for that much money, your going to sell it to anyone that wants to pay, especially young alumni in entry/lower level jobs. Plus, if it was a UCONN fan that bought those tix, I love the idea that he/she paid $450 for a pair of tickets to see Roy Hibbert crush their hopes and dreams with his sweet stroke from beyond the arc. I only hope the Hoyas fan that sold the tickets used some of that dirty money for a celebratory bottle of Dom Perignon.

There was a group of three (mom, dad, son) in 107 two rows in front of me where the kid was wearing a freaking white Huskie head mascotish type thing as a hat.
I don't think they understood they were surrounded by young alums. Unfortunately, I hadn't had enough to drink by that point in the day to properly yell at them. At least Roy gave them what was coming.
People should be more careful.

For all of you music buffs throwing around Wyclef and Akon and giving either of them credit for those lines you are sadly mistaken. That song is a sample of the Wu Tang hit "C.R.E.A.M" as in Cash Rules Everything Around Me which dropped back in 93. The line was first said by none other than the Method Man. You'll notice original Wu Tang Clan member Raekwon the Chef in the new video with Wyclef and Akon. C.R.E.A.M is probably the song that put the Wu on the map.

That's correct-Akon/Wyclef acknowledge this as well. Drums had one of the lines wrong in the chorus. It's not "Cos I'mma tell you like you told me"--it's actually "Cos I'mma tell you like Wu told me"

It's perfectly fine to go to the game with a buddy (or girlfriend/fiancee/wife) that is a fan of the opposing team. Lord knows I got some dirty looks and comments when I showed up in grey in the coaches' seats in Cameron, but they all accepted it when they realized I was with the gal in Devil blue next to me. What I don't like is a system where the good tickets are sold off to opposing fans through scalpers or StubHub. It's took bad the University can't set up an internal StubHub, or some enterprising Hoya fan can't do the same thing. The ticket board here is a good step in the right direction.

I stand corrected regarding the Wyclef debate.
By the way, if anyone wants to see Wyclef in NYC on Wednesday night I have two extra tickets. I am not going to be able to duplicate my performance:
