I'll take kobe, shaq (last year), or dirk, or james on my team over Nash anyday...Last time i checked, Dallas has IMPROVED ever since nash left, so how do you figure that he is more valuable than Dirk? Because Avery Johnson is light years ahead of Don Nelson in terms of coaching. Don't get me wrong, Nowitzki is definitely a top 5 talent. But you can't say Dallas is better BECAUSE Nash left.

You are preaching to the choir to a degree. I don't like Nash much, but I am not going to pretend he doesn't exist. At least on the offensive end, he is incredibly talented and extremely valuable. I would rather Wade, James or Nowitzki have been given the honors for sure, but they didn't leave it up to me. That being said, only a stubborn mule would deny Nash's accomplishments. I really dont think anyone is denying that Steve Nash is a talented player who has stepped up the level of his game in recent years. Clearly the Suns would not be a serious championship contender without him. Its just many other guys are equally valuable or more valuable, and its incomprehensible that he has won mvp two straight years with so many talented players putting up career years.

I mean why is it so innomprehsensible that Nash received the award? He has the numbers to earn it ... not that others don't as well ... but why is it so unfathomable that he won the award? I don't especially like the guy. I don't like Candians in general. I don't like the handful of political statements I have heard from Nash, but I just don't understand the fervor which he has received from so many. Is it simply that he doesn't have the "talent" of other players? And by this I mean the nearly seven foot frame and "hops" to leap out of the building? Is it simply that he isn't as physically impressive with his slight and dare I say white physique? I am asking "Why" is it so incomprehensible that he has gotten the award? No cop out answers like "he doesn't deserve it." WHy do you think he doesn't deserve it? The only weakness I see in his game right now is as a defensive liability. If you want to highlite another player with similar offensive numbers and a better defensive game then please do. Do I think Iverson "could" be such a player? Absolutely. Do I think Nash benefits from the team around him more than AI does? Absolutely once again. But has he done what he needs to do to help his team win and has he put up the numbers to show it? Absolutely for the third time.
