Broken hand. So Fraser and Sumpter will be out if this is in fact true.

Oh, jeez, I mean kinda good for us, but is this kid snakebit or what?
And now that I have confidence in my team, I wanted them to play Nova full strength.

That's terrible for Nova. I never like to see injuries detract from any sporting event - especially at the college level where many athletes have the potential to be earning money as professionals in a few years.

That said, I think most on here will take a win regardless if that is the outcome this weekend.

True enough. I really don't know what 'Nova does here. I guess they start Austin and Sheridan? Or do they go really super small?
This is really a turn of events. 'Nova went from a great rebounding team to an average, but solid rebounding team without Sumpter to...I don't even know...without Fraser.
Really tough for 'Nova.

No doubt.
Ugly Conference Win = Conference Win Controversial Conference Win = Conference Win Beating a beat up Nova team that is celebrating the 85 anniversary = priceless

That said, I think most on here will take a win regardless if that is the outcome this weekend. I hate this. Anytime the opposing star(s) are out or foul out, the opposing team always plays better against us. And anyway, Allen Ray is good enough to win on his own. But if we win, I'll be happy. I don't even care that this has become a no-win/must-win game like Rutgers.

What did they have, 6 or 7 total players, only a couple of which were scholarship players, and we just barely squeaked out a win.

With Ty Law and (probably) Richard Seymour out, this virtually guarantees a Patriots win Sunday. ;D

The difference is that Nova already had to play over its head when Sumpter went down. I'm not sure if they can step it up another notch with Jason out. We'll see.
Also when Nova could only play 6 to 7 players against GU in the BET, the Hoyas were not really good at handling a slowed down game (even though they won). This current GU team is much better suited to handle such a style of play. Plus they have an offense that is so well structured it can take advantage of limited offensive possessions.

No doubt. Ugly Conference Win = Conference Win Controversial Conference Win = Conference Win Beating a beat up Nova team that is celebrating the 85 anniversary = priceless Yeah, but losing to that team (and what team has handed us more gut-wrenching losses than 'Nova?) = indescribably awful. This game has changed from one that it would be nice to win to one that we need to win.

Agreed. This is now a game that we need to win, however I would like to look at the glass as half full on this one - especially from the 85 revenge angle.
On another note that emergency crash landing sounds incredibly scary, especially only a few years after the Oklahoma State plane crash.

It seems as if Jason Fraser has been hurt from the moment he entered Villanova. He was supposed to be the key member of Villanova's highly rated 2002 class(J.Fraser, Curtis Sumpter, Allan Ray, Randy Foye) that would lead Villanova into national contention. I believe those guys called themselves the FAB FOUR!! It's too bad that injuries have prevented J.Fraser from reaching his full potential. Ironically, he was a high school teammate of Connecticut's A.J.Price, who was also projected to do big things but an injury has sidetracked that. If it weren't for the injuries, J.Fraser may have been good enough to consider the NBA at this point.

And wasn't it last year that we lost to W. Virginia after their star player got thrown off the team or did we come back and win that game? And definitely don't forget St. John's last year even though we all know that this is a completely different team.
