It appears that NESN is going to show the URI v St. Joe's game at that time.

Pomeroy has us as a 1 point favorite....of course, he gives full credit to MCI as a home court.

I think we'll be 8.5 point dogs. No matter.
I can't remember the last time I've been this excited to start drinking in the AM before a Noon start. The last two years have been more of a chore than excitement. Not that I didn't pre-game, but at least we can scream Go Back to Storrs to all the fans for a little while without knowing it's futile.

Our shots aren't always going to fall like they did against Pitt. We also need to focus on getting the easy basket using backdoors and cuts, which we have been far better at doing this year than last, but that can always use improvement.
That being said, here's to hoping our shot percentage stays high and that we are able to outsmart and outhustle UConn. For those of you that are students or DC-area fans/alumni, make sure to show up and bring everyone you can to the game! The team needs our support!

It seems to me that the team has come out fired up for the big games...perhaps JTIII knows how to get them riled up or they are just ultra-prepared but for just about every game since Temple (except for Hawaii which I couldn't watch or listen to) we come out and do a great job establishing our game. That is a welcome change from previous years where we have often come out flat.

Myself, FOTP, Fan of the Game and a few others have a crowd of 19 ready to burn down Chinatown when we win on Saturday. Hate UConn. Hate Syracuse more. But still hate UConn.

There will be nothing more exciting than to see that terd Jim Calhoun eat crow, when we beat his UCONN huskies this weekend. What will that idiot say then, "eh, The Big East is REALLY up for grabs now."

I hate UCONN as much as the next guy, but let's be fair to Calhoun. The guy is the best coach in the BE right now. He'll be a tough match for JT3.

Best Coach in the Big EAST? Eh, dude I don't think so. I think Boheim is a better coach. JT was a better coach than Calhoun, and JTIII is a better coach than Calhoun.

I think its a bit early to jump to conclusions and claim JT3 is a better coach than a proven guy who has won 2 national championships - I love JT as much as the next person, but still man, that's a stretch.
And to say Boeheim is a better coach than Calhoun isn't right. There are definitely other coaches in the BE I would take over Boeheim. He's a good coach, just not better than Calhoun.

I can't believe someone just posted that McGoo was the best coach in the BE. Damn, way, are you trying to get banned from this forumn. You better watch out of Dan or WBH or DFW will strip you of your rights!!! ;D
