That interception by Allan was apparently pathetic - he looked right the whole time and tossed it right into the middle of the zone.
If the Fordham radio crew hadn't just said "Editeded," this would be a totally irredeemable experience.
Nice to see the Hoyas get competitive in the penalty yardage category.

Allan almost threw his 4th touchdown pass of the year...to the other team. This is joke, why the hell isnt Crawford or Cangelosi in there?
They could travel the worst freshman qb on the team and im sure he'll do better than allan.

I really think the staff is just trying to minimize the number of players who emerge from this game with damage to their egos/psyches. I would expect to see Cangelosi start vs. Davidson or HC with a full week of practice as the #1 under his belt.
Better to put him into a situation where he at least has a chance to be successful, rather than throwing him to the lions during garbage time.
I can't believe it's only the end of the 3d quarter. UGH!

remember crawford 5-13 performance against Bucknell subs made him the starter. i think cangelosi can at least do the same against Fordham's backups. it might be better to have him in now instead of Lehigh next week

I'd like to see Cangelosi at least get the chance to throw a pass next week, I dont think it coud really hurt considering that our offense is accomplishing nothing anyway.
The most sickening thing about this game was definitely the penalties. 8 personal fouls is completely inexcusable, its just extremely upsetting and embarrassing.

I've always wondered why we joined the PL, when we were doing fine in the small league. With the increased debt of the university it would seem trying to compete in the PL is becoming more futile.

The MAAC was no home for Georgetown. As Georgetown gets on to Ivy schedules, people will take notice, something that could never happen in the MAAC, a conference which could be defunct as early as next month.
I know you wouldn't suggest that GU can't compete in the academic Top 25 anymore because of the debt, so that topic is largely irrelevant. But next year Georgetown will be out of the US News Top 25 and the cumulative debt on the Medical Center will approach $350 million. A couple more bad moves and the Univ. could be looking at the academic version of Ch.11. So should we just all pack it up now and start comparing GU with Loyola and Catholic? Of course not.
Georgetown can absolutely compete at the PL level. Properly supported, it would dominate this league. I'm more worried about Georgetown's long term future in Big East basketball, because the basketball team's record could look a lot like the football team's record by March and people will take notice of that.

8 personal fouls is pathetic.
The coaches need to instill some discipline in the team. Those fouls show a blatant lack of respect for fellow players and coaches. No program should put up with this crap.
Regardless of the who committed the fouls, there should be some consequenses and that doesnt mean just running the hell out of the team. There needs to be some reduced or suspended playing time if this keeps happening.

I am among the "put Cangelosi in" chorus and have been since about week 2. But now, at this point, the season being a total loss in every way, why not put him in? The answer must be that he is doing dreadfully in practiice and the coaches think he would be worse than ineffective in the game. That is all I can come up with for why he hasn't seen signficant PT. I mean we have reached the part of the season where absolutely every decision should be made with the long term future of the program in mind. Speaking of, we HAVE to get a new OC, right? I mean, are we going to see typical GU blind loyalty and not go looking for a new one?

All this talk about the season is lost and we should look towards the future is [BS]! You should walk up to the seniors who have busted their asses for 4 YEARS, putting in up to 50 hours a week towards football and tell them that their last three games dont mean ----, see how they respond.
Out of respect for the players who have sweated and bled with each other for years, we need to finish the season strong. Regardless of how terrible this season is shaping up to be, we arent going to roll over.
