So '07, are you going to do the updates next half? There's no sense in doubling up, so if you want it, run with it.

Um, haha, yeah its probably a good idea to just have one person do it. I just started listening at the end of the 1st half and didn't realize you were doing all the updates. If you want to do them I'll stop, or if you want a break I can take over for the 3rd quarter or something.

I guess I'll start doing updates for the 3rd quarter. You can take the 4th quarter if you want to, tell me what you want to do.

You didn't notice 2 pages of posts? I would avoid getting behind the wheel today. I've already deferred to you, and your connection appeared to be a few seconds ahead of mine, so go ahead and knock yourself out for the duration. I'll content myself to offer "color" commentary, so to speak. Anyway, with the way things are going, I'm not sure I'm going to want to inflict the rest of this game on my afternoon. "Have at it, Hoss."

Hoyas fumble kickoff but recover the ball Hoyas advance to 43 on Fordham face mask penalty. Fordham has committed more in penalties (110) than GU has in total offense (107). From WFUV: GU averages 4.4 ppg in the second half.

Fordham crew just announced that the Hoyas have picked up more yardage in penalties than they have with their own offense. Ouch.
For whatever reason, the O just seems to keep shooting itself in the foot, turning plusses into negatives. For instance, three straight miscues in the punting game after Fordham suffers an injury to their own longsnapper appears to be a quintessential act of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Haven't heard much on the field conditions, but it seems to be pretty muddy and deteriorating.

The hardest part about this game is that Fordham appears to be eminently beatable. Lafayette demonstrated that the Rams were vulnerable against the option, and Crawford and Sarin have executed it reasonably well when asked to, but nothing seems to be going right for this team.

Fordham starting from 50 yard line
1st and 10: delay draw to Hunt
3 flags down on the field offsides on Georgetown, Holding on Fordham offsetting penalties
Sheldon Epps injured, leaves the field replaced by Barbiazs I think
False start on Fordham
1st and 15 from 45: delayed draw to Hunt stopped after a yard 2nd and 14: Daniels deep drop, keeps it and is taken down by Paulus and Ononibaku at the line of scrimmage 3rd and 14: Hand off outside, long run all the way down to the Hoya 15 yard line. 38 yard run by James Prydatko
1st and 10 from 15- Prydatko again off the right guard down to the 2 yard line. 1st and goal at the 2.
Jamal Hunt back in at tailback 1st and goal at 2: Hunt on the toss sweep taken down at the line of scrimmage 2nd and goal: Prydatko walks into the endzone for the touchdown
extra point is good
29-6 Fordham

Well, that long run on 3 & 14 is typical for the Hoyas' season. I think the game's out of reach at this point.
The only thing left to look forward to would have to be individual performances. To that end, it's been good to hear Goranson's named called a few times today on big stops. Goranson dropped Hunt's replacement on the first run from the 2.
