Less than 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter? This game is really slow.

How long is Allan out anyway? This is not going to work with Crawford. It's pretty evident.

Gilman now 5 for 6 in FGA today - that doesn't reflect too well on the rest of the offense.
Defense has come up with a lot of 3-and-outs, but how much of that is attributable to the fact that St. F is just undermanned?

Good to see us with a sound running game- hard to know how soft this St. Francis defense is this year though.

8:27 in 4th: GU punt return to the SFU 20. We'll see if the offense can convert.

It'll be interesting to see how the Hoyas fare starting at the StF 20 after that 66yd punt return.
The D and special teams have really put the O in good position throughout the game, and I feel like they've consistently underwhelmed in those opportunities.

It's to bad Allan was hurt their first choice he has the speed and arm to keep the defense quessing. especially in the red zone. spring game I saw him run two in. I wish they would put in Cangelosi and see what he can do if Crawford is not preforming.

St. Francis is OK on D this year. They returned everyone and I mean everyone on D. Their offense is a train wreck though. It's actually not going so badly for the Hoyas but Crawford's performance on 3rd down and in scoring situations has been pretty poor to say the least.

I also really want to see Cangelosi in action- but can you really yank a qb when you are winning a game and its not even close for poor performance? You can of course- but I will say that coaches do have to display some patience with their starting choices too.

GIG - thanks for the reminder about StF's D and (what I assume is) your firsthand observations. I too would like to see Cangelosi at this point, since Crawford's not done much very well except maybe run the ball (from the sound of things).

I guess, but we're talking about two back-ups here. I don't think you kill Crawford's confidence by trying out another kid when both know they're jockeying for #2 anyway.

Yeah I guess- and I have always been the type of long-term fan that says go with the youth when presented with two roughly equal qbs.

[/i][/quote] I don't know - from the sound of things, Crawford hasn't done that well. Despite it being an almost totally uninformed opinion, I would say Cangelosi should be #2 at this point, since he's got great pedigree at least, and Crawford hasn't really shown anything to make me optimistic (admittedly from far, far away and through a really awful play by play announcer).
