Here's my favorite new tradition:
Once a season, a new member joins and quickly establishes himself as crazy. After a few weeks, said new member turns to taunts, insults, proclaiming other posters are racists... out-and-out lunacy. After a month or two of this, said poster has a glorious, blaze-of-glory melt-down in which page after page of insults are thrown at board members, board admin, even members of the Hoya basketball community. Said member is then banned, never to be heard from again.
2004-2005: ncaaball2 2005-2006: baselinejournal 2006-2007: hoyaeighties 2007-2008: ?
P.S. - Did anyone keep the text of the hoyaeighties flame out from last season? I had kept it and PM'd it to several posters on the board, but can't seem to find it. I'd love to read it again.

The WAG shirts are fantastic. There is nothing like seeing a sea of grey at every home game. I just hope they don't start "switching it up" and going for blue every other year. The whole point is if I have a shirt on from 2 years ago and you have a shirt of from this year... it looks the same in the stands.
However, Jack playing with a box wrapped in paper with an orange on it or a WVa logo is pathetic. I've always wondered why we don't put some type of food in there or train Jack to do something cool with it -- like relieve himself on it.
Commenting on the last post... why hasn't hifigator been banned?

I thought this was going to be a thread about the timeless classic from Fiddler on the Roof...

It doesn't have to be limited to the We Are Georgetown shirt, as long as there is a huge sea of gray (that I hope can spread to the entire lower bowl at some point) I'll be extremely happy and the game day atmosphere will continue to improve.

Hahaha! Actually, every NFL team has to play both a home and away game in an international market over the next 16 years. Rather than just play somewhere that benefits the league via the international exposure, the Bills are trying to get something out of it as well by preemptively negotiating with Toronto. I think they'd rather play there than, say, Dublin or Frankfurt or Moscow or Melbourne. Rumor around here was they were a finalist for the London game this year, but the league chose the Dolphins instead. [/potential hijack]

That's nice. It's good to see that the Giants will finally lose one of their home games to an international venue after playing road games in London, this year, and at the Meadowlands a few years back.

This Board has become a great tradition -- I always get a kick out of meeting people at a game and ask if they are "on the Hoyatalk board" more often than not, you get a yes, and a screenname. It has become a interesting little subcommunity, and a nice part of being a hoya fan. Along those lines, here are a few of my favorite Hoyatalk traditions: mrsixer's text messages lic's grammarpunctuationenthusiamandsmilies :0 Ballroom Dancing, Charlie Daniels, and the wrath it hath wrought Superman as a war criminal/serial killer the Esh wars (remember them?) good point doublehoya, I remember screaming "EAT THE BANANA" at the meadowlands and having a couple turn around to me smiling with a nod of acknowledgment. at least someone understood what I was talking about.

What about the use of a Motorola Q, during that time the board jumped the shark? Mr. Motorola Q himself has been oddly absent since that unfortunate episode in Spotsylvania a few weeks back: tinyurl.com/yo2l2s

Is insulting and bitch-slapping hifigator a tradition yet?
Can we make it one?
Superman aside, Frank Black is a tradition unto himself. He is the Hoyatalk version of Tom Tancredo when it comes to visitors to our fine digital land.

Here's my tradition: following this board for years and only managing 70 posts... I love the Hoyas but don't have the in-depth basketball knowledge that most of you seem to have. Also, being overseas (Germany), I don't get to watch too many games. But I was in Atlanta!!
Seperate but related subject - happend to WilsonBlvdHoya? He used to post a great deal here?

I'm here; thanks for asking! Work and other commitments have me pretty tight on how much I can post and "moderate." FWIW, I'll be going to Brazil on a work assignment and may have to watch a few games down there (I'll be going back and forth - not a permanent thing.....)!!! But that means WWBH (which was pretty moribund last season in the chat room) won't be up and running much....
