I love it. WG and UMD get the middle finger.

Excellent, another "rub their nose in it" game, like Ball St- let's take it to that traitor Cornelio (dead to me) Guibunda.

Love it for the same reasons as Jersey, plus if we're going to have the top DC recruits coming in 07-08 and 08-09, why not showcase them in front of the other DC universities? If we can get one of the mid-major opponents with the added bonus of a local game and the ensuing interest/press coverage, I think this could turn out pretty well.
The only question is whether or not this is a one-shot deal? For some reason (like a 4500-seat capacity) I can't see us playing at Bender. If this is more than a one-year game, maybe play both games at Verizon and AU has worked out a deal on getting a larger share of ticket revenues? Can't think of any neutral sites other than maybe Patriot Center that the AU home game could be played if ticket demand is too much for Bender.
EDIT: Also, hell, since FL mentioned it..."Bryce Simon, from......A---U!"

I like it. hopefully they can improve their record and get above .500 in the patriot league. but it's a good middle finger especially to maryland since it's gary's old job.

I don't think they'll be very good next season. They lose almost everybody so we're probably looking at another bad rpi game. I would think Ball State will lose players to transfer so that game along with this game and Radford are horrible from a rpi prospective.

well in that case we better add a top 5 team at home to balance that out. that memphis game should be a good boost to our RPI. also the big east will be better on the whole so the RPI should improove. Of course if we win all our games RPI 1. will take care of itself and 2. won't matter.

let's hope its in the phone booth because that gym they have on campus is pretty tiny... would be a shame if we couldnt make the 10 min trip from campus for lack of tickets. plus, they can bring their 3 fans to our house

I like playing local schools, so I'm a fan of this. Of course, I'd also like to play GW and UMD and all the rest. My thinking is, if we're going to care enough about Gary to give him the finger, let's do it after we've given his team a thorough drubbing. Anyone, anywhere, any time.

If you are not a bubble team, RPI barely matters.
We are not a bubble team.

Good game for the program - most likely early in the year and will bring an extra 4-5000 fans into the building - need every $$ we can get.
