Hope Greg Monroe reads this article. Some great quotes from Jeff about how playing at GU has really helped develop his all-around game.

Nice article. Looking at those numbers in a vacuum and considering Jeff's 32-and-13, I'd say that Jeff had a better summer league. Hopefully some of those nay-sayers in S-town are changing their tune.

Get used to those numbers though...other than some more assists with the better teammates.
That is who Jeff will be in the NBA. 15 pts, 7 rebs, 3 assist, 1 block and he'll defend the other teams best forward/player.
Most importantly he'll help them win games. Love Jeff Green. Hopefully he can change the perspetion that pure stats make a player...

In 3 years (if he is playing along side Durant at the time), I can see Jeff eventually putting up a consistent 19, 8 and 5.

Jeff looks frighteningly like Don Cheadle in this picture. Very, very strange.

Jeff looks frighteningly like Don Cheadle in this picture. Very, very strange. That's because it is Don Cheadle. He's studying for a role in an upcoming movie so he asked Jeff if he could stand in. Then he dropped 32.

“Playing at Georgetown allowed me to work on every aspect of my game – dribbling, shooting and playing different positions,” Green said. “So I feel like Georgetown helped me out a lot trying to make this transition to the NBA.” That needs to be printed out and framed for every recruit to see

From Sonics GM Sam Presti:
That is music to JTIII's ears, and pure recruiting GOLD.

Hopefully he can change the perspetion that pure stats make a player... I think that his points may be higher than that for the simple fact that there's no one else on that team who can put up big points besides Durant. Sitting in the stands MOnday night watching them pla the Jazz, it was clear the sonics had nothing beside Durant and Green. Granted that was only the summer league team and not the regular roster players, but still. Look at the Sonics roster. If they're going to average even 95 ppg, I think Jeff has 18-19 ppg easy.

Durant just signed his 7 yr./$60 million deal with Nike...When's Jeff going to pick up a (decidedly smaller) shoe contract? I've seen announcements of contracts signed by a number of lottery picks...Even Rodney Stuckey at the 15th pick (outside of the lottery) has signed with Adidas.

I hate to nitpick, but since Jeff is now a professional, shouldn't this thread be on the Pro/College board?
By the way, I am halfway kidding, but I don't think you should enforce the rules so selectively, not that it really bothers me though.

Then he dropped 32. Cheadle played Earl "The Goat" Manigault, greatest player never to make the NBA, in a movie several years ago. The Goat is a great story, movie was so-so. Barely relevant to the thread but, hey, it's a slow day...
