I think we need to be involved with this voting so that we can pick the worst possible mascot for St. John's. The only issue I am having is that each one is so pathetic that I do not know how to orchestrate a selection for the single worst one. redstormsports.cstv.com/ot/mascot-search.htmlI think the Dog may be the worst one. Check out the description: "Red Storm Dog: The Red Storm dog is a faithful, loyal and protective companion. The dog can be fierce, to represent the fighting spirit of the St. John's athletic teams, yet friendly enough to appeal to St. John's younger fans."

That thunderbolt is ripped. I have to say the Flash Gordon look alike is the worst, but its close.

Hahahaha, I think Thunder Horse would be my favorite, but Storm Hero is pretty solid as well.

Holy God, if they adopt any of those, we are officially not alllowed to lose to St. John's EVER AGAIN.
So, you know, I hope they enjoyed the wins this year.
Does the Thunderbolt outfit come equipped with Clooney-as-Batman-esque pecs and a six pack? (no nipples, thankfully)

Storm Hero, hands down. I'm headed to stuff the ballot box now. It makes absolutely no sense. It would be the worst/my favorite mascot since Big Red at WKU.

Go back to Redmen. They've never been the same since they went PC.

Where is JohnnyJungle? I need some more info on how they came up with these choices!
The Bear and Dog seem to me to be the less of all those evils so don't vote for those two. Out of the rest of them I have no idea - tough choice.

I'm still on the "St. John's needs to succeed" bandwagon.
The thunderbird and the horse aren't bad, though the horse has a dorky pose.
"In 1994, St. John's changed its nickname to "Red Storm," combining the school's traditional color with a sense of a group movement. "
Would that be better named as the Red Brigades?

Those are all pretty bad. It's kinda like when Stony Brook (school closest to my parent's house) decided to go from "Patriots" to the made up animal "SeaWolves".

Atrocious. It's disturbing to me that 4 of the 6 options (horse, thunder bolt, dog and hero) look like they ought to be on the New York State Megan's List.
Storm Hero: Dressed in St. John's colors and adorned with thunderbolts, this superhero exudes strength, courage, confidence and tenacity. Though interviewed by police in 2009 for suspicion of being the Georgetown Cuddler, no charges were ever filed and Storm Hero relocated to Queens, New York shortly thereafter.
