I think it's a situation where you kind of have to get the win -- first game, on the road, and it was really important this year to erase the bad taste in everyone's mouth from last year. My guess is Hollis and Sims play more and more each game, with more Nikita mixed in as well.

Almost as much fun for Yankees fans as savoring the victory is seeing the reaction of Yankees haters -- thanks guru and others for enhancing my enjoyment today!

That call on the Swisher tag play was an absolute joke -- ump was not even looking! I cannot believe how bad that was. A clear make-up call for the pick-off play at 2nd. How do you do a make-up call that blatant at this level & time of year? I didn't think I'd have to deal with that kind of robbery/incompetence until the Duke game in January.

last few games Summers is playing much better - not just shooting better, but going to the basket stronger, rebounding better.

Austin looked great today. Summers was very good also - those threes he hit at the start of the 2nd half really were the nail in the coffin.

team rarely played the big line-up - much more 3 guard sets.

Overall happy with the win - can't have too high expectations in the 1st game. Wright looked great shooting the deep ball, and Monroe was very good in his debut. Monroe's dunk on the drive up the middle was great - also thought he did a good job on D. I'd like to see him get it in the post even more.
Rebounding was by far the biggest negative - think we need to see much more Vaughn, and more Sims. Also, we need to run the break much more crisply.

I agree, this situation is unfortunate - hopefully it works out - I think we are the perfect fit for him to develop.

It was in fact the #1 play on Sportscenter top 10 this morning - crowd and teamates were going nuts.

Clark adds a ton of athleticism in the backcourt beyond what we had last year

Lubick with some more great words about the team - what a great start to '10 - now from a recruiting standpoint JTIII can zero in on a kid (if he wants) without having to be spread too thin LUBICK NOT WORRIED ABOUT RACE ISSUE It’s been more than four years since Georgetown has had an American-born Caucasion on their team. That was before Matt Causey transferred out of the program and ultimately landed at Georgia Tech. John Thompson III and the Hoyas landed highly regarded junior forward Nate Lubick last night. He isn’t set to arrive on campus until the fall of 2010. ``At first, after Georgetown offered, it was like, `Georgetown doesn’t offer white kids,’” Lubick said. “I thought about it a little bit and after I visited the second time and was with their players, I just said, ‘Who cares.’” ``I went on a bunch of visits and none of the teams were anywhere nearly as close as Georgetown,” Lubick added. “It’s crazy. They all hang out together like a family and couldn’t care less about the white-black thing and that’s what made me so comfortable. I didn’t even pay attention to it.” The Hoyas do have 6-foot-8 Nikita Mescheriakov on the team, who hails from Belarus. community.foxsports.com/blogs/goodmanonfox

Great news and foundation for the '10 class -- how great is this quote from the Scout article: “When you step on that campus you just know"

Well deserved honor, and nice speech by Pat - I also enjoyed Dickie Vs' and Pat Riley's speeches, long as they were. Both - particularly Riley - had very high praise for John Thompson - Riley also had extremely nice words for 'Zo.
