Rodney could absolutely play a prominent role as a shooter on a top 10 team. He's struggling as a main scorer and doesn't have enough scorers around him to ease the burden. On a team with multiple offensive threats he would get more open shots and he's proven he can knock them down consistently So that means he isn't that good. He is a 4th or 5th option at best by what you just described. He is on a bad team, so he looks good jacking up shots. He's a terrible defender. Not a good passer and an okay rebounder. He's a really good shooter. Sounds like a guy that gets limited minutes as a role player on a good team depending on matchups. Derrickson and Govan are the same. Players at this stage of their careers would get role player minutes on a top team. I'm not saying that is their upside. Both can in time be go to scorers and 30 minutes a night type anywhere, but that's not who they are now. Peak would play a significant role anywhere. He plays hard and contributes in many ways. I don't think anyone else on our roster gets a lot of minutes on a top 25 team at this point in their careers.

Rodney Pryor is not that talented. He's a volume scorer on a bad team. Your definition of talent isn't the same as mine. How many guys on the current roster play prominent roles in a top 10 to 15 team? Only Peak is a definite. We have a bunch of one dimensional players. Most of the teans we have played this year, excluding the cupcakes, have better talent in my eyes.

Tre Campbell wasn't even the main point guard on his high school team. They let someone 2 years younger (Cowan) run the point over him. He was never going to be a star.
There is so much talent in the '18 class locally. We need to grab a stud or 2. There's enough for Nova and ND to get theirs and be enough left for us. I hear far more about other coaching staffs at local games than the Hoya staff.

You are only as good as your talent. Look at other Big East teams and then look at us. It is like night and day. III is getting the most out of his talent. It just isn't much there right now. Applaud the guys for giving the effort. They are trying. Good teams just seem to be one step ahead of us in many ways. You can't be serious. We have 3-4 NBA level players on our roster. I'd say we're 3rd in BE relative to talent. Even a marginal coach would have this bunch on the fringe of the T25, much less in the conference cellar. No sane person could argue that JT3 is getting the most out of this group. We don't have a single guy on the roster projected as a 1st rounder. So how do we have 3 or 4 NBA level guys?

Rodeny Pryor is still playing hard and scored the last 2 buckets. He just wants his stats. If he was playing hard, it sure wasn't on defense.

Yeah these teams all have more talent. It's really that simple. Could 3 get more out of this roster? Sure. But no way is it a top 25 roster. So many players with limited skillsets.

Kaleb Johnson just isn't skilled or athletic enough for this level. He's overmatched.

Why does Agau float around the perimeter so much? He should be near the basket.

What happened to us being a pressing team? We aren't doing it now despite being blown out. JT3 gave up on that press after a few games.

We don't have a single player playing well.

Embarrassing defensive effort. Providence's Adjusted Offense ranks 149th in the country.

Man Providence's offense stinks. They shoot a bunch of long 2s off the dribble. They defend we'll but their offense isn't going to let them pull away. We need to capitalize.

Once again Jalek Felton was at the top 100 camp. he was the MVP of camp well the co-MVP with Zion...the guy everyone is drooling over now. thats how good he was. it's like with Tyler Ulis, people see the height and rate them wrong. The buzz in that gym yesterday when he was playing was palpable. I just think the ratings are one thing, production is another. If AI was coming out now he would be rated #18 probably because of his height.No. Not with that athleticism and speed. Yeah that is a stretch. AI would be ranked top 3 minimum.

The event is cool for the kids. The game itself has become really bad. I used to love the game.
Waters is the real deal. Let's hope the staff can start finding him quality running partners.

They have enough good players. But they were a final four contender with Watson. Not anymore.
How good is that Patton kid, he is a pro. Just watch the talent on our rivals and it signals a much needed change in our recruiting strategies.

Watson is the best PG in the conference. They are not a top team without him and become very beatable

Turning this off. Watching Duke-UL. Oops. No regrets. There were much better games on. Still relieved we won.

Adams is fantastic though. I will be pleased if Waters is a similar player.
