I hate Syracuse!!!!!
I have a PDF copy of the New York Times game story on the Hoyas great comeback win to close down Manley Field House. Mindful of this site's policy on copyright material, I will not post it here, however I will email a copy to anyone who wants it if you contact me at Sortwell@aol.com.
Did I mention that I hate Syracuse.

Is it time to give him a nickname yet? I think we all like what he is bringing to the table in his short time (imagine if his ankle hadn't been hurt). Should we call him Warrenton Windex? The Warrenton Windex? ? Seriously? ? That's like Grantland Rice on crack.

It's nice to know someone is reading. Besides our parents . . . and HoyaChris. Thanks for the praise, guys. I've always been an early adopter of quality innovation. ;D Seriously, how great a world is this that someone else will run all the numbers to provide an empirically based framework for viewing our Hoyas? By God I love the internet.

We have grown so blase about Greg's passing skills that sometimes great passes go unremarked. A case in point was the perfect 35 foot lob pass from a moving Greg for a Julian jam.
That pass is a guard play and there are very few NBA bigs who can make it, let alone College players.
The biggest positive evolution in our style of play is that we will now attack the basket once we break pressure. Greg's passing is an enormous part of that.

Additional big comebacks that come to mind:
-Down 14 at half time to Syracuse and come back to close Manley Fieldhouse -Coming back from down 21 against Ohio State in the 1987 (?) NCAA

The Comcast report said this was the Hoyas biggest comeback in 31 years when they were down by 22 to Manhattan. Unfortunately it did not tell whether that 22-point defecit took place during the first half of that game. We were down 22 to Manhattan in MSG with about 10 minutes left in the game, with no shot clock and no three point shot. The 1978 team was very good - they made the NIT semifinals after their best player missed the NCAA play in game and the post season because of an ulcer - and this might have been their most impressive performance.

It will be interesting to here the reason if it is on neither Full Court or 360, since the ESPN contract with the Big East requires that all conference games be available through some ESPN outlet.
If it is on neither Full Court nor 360, then why would MASN be blacked out on DirecTV?

I don't see it listed on ESPN Full Court. Can anyone confirm if it's on Full COurt? I feel a major screw-up coming on. My Time Warner Cable in Dallas has the game on Full Court and I am recording it there. However, my DirecTV in St louis does not have the game listed.

Apparently I can't get MASN on Comcast here in Utah, even with the sports package. I don't see the game listed on channelsurfing.net. Any other possibilities? The game listings on both ESPN team sites for DePaul and the Hoyas say that this is an ESPN360 game, but the ESPN360 schedule does not list the game, so I don't know what to think. Alternatively, you can find some place that has ESPN Full Court.

The key is getting into the arena for the first Hoya session, which is actually pretty easy, since more than half of the teams will not be playing and the tickets for the session will likely be being scalped pretty cheaply outside - alternatively you could pay a little more through Stubhub for the first Hoya session. Then, purchase tickets from losing fans while still in the arena - it cuts the counterfeit risk way down. Offer to buy the whole book and buying pairs or fours is a lot easier than buying a single. If we lose, then you become a seller. Don't be afraid to negotiate with the seller.

One big difference this year is that we are taking advantage of opponents overcommitting against us on the offensive boards. We are looking to run and we are getting a bunch of easy points in transition.
