I liked how we fought back, this team is going to be fun to watch grow and improve. It’s gonna be a process, we lack depth and chemistry but that will come, I am staying positive with this team no matter what. We will win games that will surprise and probably loose some we should win. That is part of building from the bottom that Ewing left team with It will take 2-3 years just to get the recruits in and some depth this really isn’t Cooley recruiting class this is what he could throw together with no one left on the roster. It was depleted. So this season really is about building the culture back not wins and losses, the talent level isn’t here yet. But it’s a good starting point. Go Hoyas excited about the process. I’m trying to be both positive and realistic.

Good on Roy here but that 04-05 team was tough right away(getting blown out by Temple is acknowledged) and played competitive ball all year. This team doesn't have a Bowman, Cook, or Owens to lean on. We’re talking future NBA players finding each other. Apples to Oranges.

I worry that fan support will dwindle with losses. why worry about that? the fair weather hoya fans have long been gone. anyone that supports this team now has seen the worst of the worst if they still around they are diehards. Not board activity, but students wanting to go to games. The opener saw a good crowd.

Reggie and the Miracles. Williams single-handily led GU to the Elite Eight his senior year. Along the way he took down Danny Manning and Kansas, who would go on to win it all the following season. Reggie really had no support in 1987.

We’re just passing the ball around the perimeter to heave a three at shot clock expiration. No purposeful passing. ☹️

Is NIL killing the team concept as players focus on promoting themselves?

The Northeastern model reads like a four-year hotel timeshare- come stay at our various properties across the globe. Do you even need to take real classes? It may make sense for some colleges to have an outpost in DC for students who are politically inclined. Would GU have a campus in California for the sake of it? If we were a technology oriented school, it may make sense to have a second campus near Silicon Valley.

When you accept money from foreign actors, you are now beholden to them. Very slippery slope. See Qatar and current Middle East situation. Is there a reason why this would be any different for foreign actors than for domestic ones? It would apply to domestic actors as well. I was focused more on foreign countries. Also, not a fan of awarding GU degrees outside of Healy Gates. We’re not Starbucks, don’t need global expansion.
