In Mart Crowley's play "The Boys in the Band" two of the characters we're GU roommates. The movie adaptation was directed by William Friedkin of "The Exorcist" fame.

Speaking of caring to know, I sincerely wonder whether exit interviews are conducted with players who choose to transfer out. I mean by people outside the immediate basketball team staff. Ordinarily, this might mean the AD, but......

What would a worthwhile game-related question be after that debacle? Res Ipsa Loquitur.

How about when we were making the big run with defensive pressure. Gene Smith was inbounding the ball from the sideline and smiled and winked at his teammate as if to say "We got this". I will never forget that. Also love No Media Timeouts.
(and I hope we were chanting "Say you're sorry" not "Say your sorry").

For every player willing to publicaly state on social media that we need a new coach, there must be 5-10 that refrain. Do you really want a coach whose best attribute is that he is a "good guy?" The same goes for opponents who say Georgetown doesn't seem to want to play (hard).

Someone else may have brought this up but I believe you must have a football program to have a D-1 basketball program.

You fascinate me. What's your angle? No angle...he is a fine coach and has proven that he can and will run the program without reproach. It is amazing to me that so many people take that for granted. I always assume that even with the best coaches there will be ups and downs and reject the "we should/ we deserve" manta that many people seem to have adopted. For goodness sake, it has been less than a year since the man has had a modern facility to use in recruiting. His level of success with what he has had to work with is incredibly high. The notion that his job could be in any jeopardy, from my perspective, is laughable. I find his "level of success" all too credible. You are not a hard one to please. Please humor everyone and enumerate the many "levels" on which his firing would be "a disaster". From the current Chief Executive on up (sic) we seem to be living in an age of superlatives only. Everything is tremendous, tremendous, incredible, or a disaster.

We lose 9-3 to High Point? Maybe more than one G.U. coach needs to be on the hot seat.

It's at their gym aka "The Ski Lodge" née the Steve Carell er "John E. DuPont Pavilion" rather than the Core States er First Union er Wachovia er Wells Fargo Center. That does not figure to be helpful. But fair is foul and foul is fair. Who knows?

The "plays" at the end of the first half and the end of regulation were Peak freelances. Those are not plays. There was time in both instances to run a play.
