As the talking heads always like to say, “it’s hard to beat a team 3 times in a season”. By that logic, we are back to back BET 2022 champs provided we don’t run into Xavier on the way to Saturday night.

Quick question - does anyone actually see this on GUHOYAS.com? Is this just another disconnect that they released this statement to Rothstein, without actually posting on GUHOYAS.com?
Maybe I'm just missing it on the website, but just wanted to flag out.
It was not posted to GUHoyas.com or Georgetown.edu.--Admin

Great post Frazier!
Great job seniors! Let’s make it a memorable last home game! Hope we get to cheer you on into the postseason beyond the BET!

Also don't forget importance of Big East teams winning games for the NCAA revenue shares. From what I recall, the historical NCAA revenue shares pre-Catholic 7 departure were retained by former BE teams that formed AAC, so need to start building up those revenue streams.

For anybody looking to go to this game, there are actually very good tickets available on Ticketmaster. They are pricey, but cheaper than what is out there on StubHub. apparently if you enter the promo code johnnies you get $20 off on 100 level tickets. per one of their message boards. Promo code TZOO on Ticketmaster gets you 1/2 off tickets (although ticketmaster charges are not discounted) - think the all in per ticket cost is ~$48

They may have sold a fair amount of tickets to the game, but it doesn't mean deals can't still be had: $25 tickets are being discounted to $10, AND it $1.00 hot dog day at the RAC! scarletknights.com/

Congrats to Coach Thompson! I echo the above sentiments - as an alum and a fan of Georgetown, there isn't anyone else I'd want running the flagship athletic program of the school!

Had no problems with Jabril taking that shot...none....he was wide open, and that was the best look we were going to get with seven seconds remaining...also he's a tough player...tough players make those shots...remember Jessie Sapp against West Virginia? Agree with this. Credit to Otto to find Jabril recognizing he had a much tougher chance with 2-3 defenders on him. Also credit to Otto on finding Whit after his drive to the hoop for the 3-ball attempt, too bad GWhitt couldn't get that 3rd FT down.

Not that the Hoyas are likely to have gotten a good look with the 1 second left on clock, but just to summarize the issues with the end of game 2nd FT attempt that I saw:
1st Attempt: 1) No "fake" shot call against MU player shooting FT 2) Once whistle is actually blown, baseline ref inexplicably calls it a lane violation against Jabril when it appears no player on either team had lane violated (Whit may have been close to violating, but even if he did, it was only due to the fake shot). In either case, the ref called the violation against Jabril which just appeared made up to me since he had to call something.
2nd Attempt: 1) Whistle blown again incorrectly (before horn sounds) as Lubick goes up for desperation shot at same time ref is waving off shot.
While the 2nd attempt was frustrating, the no-call on the fake FT attempt was where we were primarily screwed as that should have resulted in ball to inbound and you figure we get at least some desperation look to help this fan feel a better sense of closure with the game. The fact that the refs had inadvertent whistle (thinking it missed rim) is salt in wound after the no call against fake FT.
Just hope we can get some home cooking like MU got at times this afternoon.
